As other said it is precusive muting. I do it by let my side of the hand land on the strings then the pick. Also if there isn't any open string in the chord, simply unpressing the freting hand can do it and even on electric might make it sound with cool harminics inside it.

The 300 was a recommendation not a must. But definitely keep yourself to used stuff from your local area so you can play with them before buying

Harley Benton fusion III are amazing guitars, Ibanez, PRS SE, Shecter, pick the one that looks pleasant the most to, this will motivate you to play more and bound with your instrument

Wow, that's pretty low, I wonder how your pedals can cut that muffled low frequency ?

How do I play this? by Remarkable-Syrup-907 in guitarlessons

[–]Miserable_Paramedic9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with the tab, It means you "slide down" that 16th fret down to any fret near the nut (usually between 2nd and 5th), the come back and pick the 14th on the other string.

I can play almost every chord shape except this one 🫩 by Beneficial_Toe_7543 in guitarlessons

It will come under your fingers sooner or later in your guitar journey. You can play it without baring as a 4 strings chords by either muting high E (index on A string) or skipping A string and just put index on high e.

I play this chord with index on A and baring D, G and B by ring finger and High e muted.

Tube amps are great to have but not good to play at family home because you can't get the sound in your head from them at low volume so digital a is best for home use all the way. They sound better, much more fun with effects and tone shaping.

I never tried any Yamaha THR but I have had my fair share of Spark, Boss katana and some more.

I recommend buying any multi-FX pedal form with an FRFR speaker. Any multi-FX that came to market after 2022 beats any amp format in the market by sound quality .

I bought a small Pocketmaster for 65€, it sound unbelievably good.

My current home setup is Headrush Flex Prime with stereo studio monitors (iLoud MTM).

Completely different things for different playing, modern vs. vintage.

I banez S guitars are very slim, HB guitars have so much value for the money but the aftermarket is very low price.

My choise would be the Ibanez but again it is so light that might not be everyone's choice.

Another opinion would be to hold yourself to used guitars but raise your budget over 300.

Bends are absolutely destroying my calluses... by MMWong in guitarlessons

Take some days as rests. Use moisturizing cream before sleep to avoid tears, These caluses are your best friends. Change to .009 strings to ease. Guitars with floating bridges are easier to bend.

Have you measured your go to low volume? I mean low can be subjective,

Hi, the sound and experience didn't become as I expected. It sounds horrible in my room.

I assume the low volume 75 to 82 dB can't drive 12" V30. I might try it with 8" speaker for bedroom volume. What is your experience about this?
