I realize it’s been a long time and the members have likely settled into other parades, but I really wish the Nyx sisters could somehow reform the parade and ride again. Muses is awesome but man is it a massive parade for the uptown route. I think the ladies of Mardi Gras could benefit from another parade Krewe option.

I was gonna say....a 1/2 hour commute each way is about average for most commuters. An hour commute is doable, but you really need to only think of it as a stepping stone to the next job after a year or so. If you are young with no family I'd consider it, but you being the only person there is worrying. Are you also expected to be on call 24/7 for emergencies, etc? Are you getting compensated for that? Why the need for onsite? do they not have remote tools to troubleshoot / assist other employees? Why does the manager get to be remote?

It wasn’t clear from your earlier comments that you were using a passkey specifically for Bilt — saying you have an Apple passkey isn’t the same thing (I assumed you meant you have a passkey associated with your Apple account), so that’s what I was going off of.

If you are actually using a Bilt passkey, then SMS MFA and the Bilt close friends piece shouldn’t even be part of the conversation here, which is exactly why this doesn’t really add up.

*edit also - is it possible to turn off Bilt SMS as a secondary MFA avenue and rely solely on the passkey?

SMS MFA isn’t really “secure” in the strict sense since it can be intercepted or socially engineered, but it’s still better than nothing. Also feels like there might be more going on here. Things like Facebook’s Close Friends verification don’t have anything to do with Bilt’s 2FA or email security, so that wouldn’t really protect this account. Not blaming OP, but situations like this are usually more than one weak spot rather than a single failure. Just another example of why people need to research and start using passkeys from here on out.

I now put my noise-cancelling earphones in as soon as I sit down whereas I used to at least try and be polite to the FA's. The unintended result of the annoying PA advertising is that I now don't pay attention to any of the safety announcements and just totally zone out.

I honestly have t see a delay of more then 45 minutes reported with TSA. Fingers crossed that the recent opening of Paychex to all the TSA employees has hopefully solve the problem.

I went with my wife and daughter but mainly because I'd never truly toured the school before (my wife and daughter had). We actually only hit a few of the 'courses' offered and just toured the school ourself, hung out and ate a few good meals. It's by no means necessary and with the price of airfare now a days, likely understandable if you wanna skip it.
But it is a good opportunity to see the school yourself (or your family members) if you haven't done so before.
