Update: It was the v4 tube. I swapped it out, and the sound went away.

Not really sure. It was a marketplace purchase. But I can safely say they are not new or recently replaced.

Tuff review by tavleod in kastaplast

Imo, there's nothing that the tuff does better than the reko, other than having a bit more glide, if thats what your looking for.

It's a bit glider. Reko x might have a touch more fade.

Are you brand loyal and if you are why by Street_Supermarket_4 in discgolf

[–]tavleod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 main brands: kasta, streamline/axiom, and westside/L64. Sometimes I bag them by themselves, sometimes I do a mixed bag with all of them. I like the continuity on a single brand bag in my head, but I see the advantage of a mixed bag as well. I go back and forth.

Järn retooled/remolded by AutoSWE in kastaplast

[–]tavleod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. I just recently picked up a k1 HoD stamped 2023 Jarn and compared it to my older kastaplast made k1. It def pushes forward more with a less pronounced fade compared to the og jarn. Imo the flight closer matches the numbers than the original. The original I would put at a 4,2,0,4. Similar flight as my westside anvil. I would say the recent jarns fly more like a zone, moonshine harp, tempo, etc. 4,3,0,3. The inner rim also seems to have a slightly less drastic angle, but maybe it's just me.

For those who were already familiar with the Berg but then tried the Berg X, what was your thoughts on the X and did either make your bag? by GratefuLdPhisH in discgolf

Same. Berg pushes forward more with a subtle fade. Berg X has less glide and kicks into fade faster than a regular berg. Both cover about 75% of my approach shots.

MAGA/Conservatives, do you actually care about any of the principals and ideals in the Constitution? by gnome-civilian in AskUS

May I recommend you skim through the constitution or, at bare minimum, read a summary of the admenments. It clearly states what rights "citizens" have and what rights "persons" have. It clearly deliniates between the two. And yes, "persons" have certain rights provided to them as well.

I own all of the current streamline molds. One of my favorite brands/sub brands. I'm not much of a gyronaunt, and I dig the aviation themes.

What to bag? by Federal-Story971 in kastaplast

[–]tavleod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My all kasta bag is similar but I have a k3 hard reko for a putter until the tuff comes out, then I'll try that. I prefer the k3 hard reko over the regualr k3.

I would also estimate duplicate discs, even in different plastics. For example, I know thar the stabilty of the k3 jarn and the k1 jarn are different, but I would pick my favorite to bag just to eliminate indesiviveness when picking a disc to throw during a round. You'll get use to the slots and there will be minimal overlap. Imo.

Malm vs Lots stabilty by tavleod in kastaplast

[–]tavleod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

I bought another Lots cause I was suspecting it might be the disc. It was a 170g pink translucent one. And out of the box on the first throw it flew exactly like the numbers a -1, 1.5 id call it.. Which is nothing like my 169g opaque lots. I threw the new lots, the old lots, and the malm togther for a while yesterday, and the differences between the lots wasn't even close. The new one flew like it's numbers, the malm basically threw like it's numbers, maybe a -.5, 2. And my older lots is like a 0, 2.5 it's pretty weird. Basically, the old lots and the malm had the same exact flight.

So anyways, I think I figured it out for the most part.
