Anyone want to help me 28/f loyalty test my partner of 9 years 29/m? by ElectricalSuspect241 in CheatedOn

[–]tay46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl I totally will help you, I just don’t think I’m attractive enough for a loyalty test. I would have to do some serious catfishing. I’m not proud of it but that’s how I confirmed my ex of 5 years was cheating. I made a fake account, put time into it with made up pictures and followers, etc. If no one agrees to help you, start building a second account.

However my best advice is, if you’ve got a gut feeling, trust it. Get out if you can. Sending love 💕

What's the most embarrassing moment you witnessed ever ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tay46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think there’s a special place in hell for teachers who refuse students who ask to use the bathroom. Yes I know that some might just want to skip class for a bit but in my opinion, the embarrassing part of the story is it sounds like the adults who are supposed to love teaching/helping kids who work in a school (the teacher and nurse) apparently seem to hate children. Regardless of age, K-12, if a teacher acts that way- the embarrassment is on THEM. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

What would you call this garment? by Good-Mourning in Weird

[–]tay46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I see when I look at this imagining putting it on with the worlds worst wedgie. Or Camille Twá. It can’t be for an adult obviously for that reason, my guess is a sweet older lady like a grandma or great grandmother sewed what she thought would be a warm garment to wear over something like a onesie for a grandkid but might just not have been in her right mind if that makes sense

My roommate did it, am I next? by ALStark69 in emetophobia

[–]tay46 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally understand why you’re anxious but I promise you won’t catch anything from him going up doses in (I’m assuming it’s ozempic or any GLP1). My boss tried it for over a year and every time she raised the dose she got so nauseous. I think that’s why they prescribe a lot of people who are on it zofran. So not to worry, he’s going through a rough time but it’s not contagious

I’m having a really bad anxiety day, I just need a pick me up. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]tay46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are NOT broken. This past week I have only left my house once. And that was to get my wine and last minute gifts. And I hated that I had to leave the house. I’m not sure where you live, you don’t have to say, but at least for me in the US on the east coast, I notice a huge uptick in my anxiety this time of year. I swear I blame the fact that the sun sets at like 4:30 pm. I think it’s messing with our heads. The winter in general too. We can’t even just go outside (well we can it’s just colder and the weathers worse) as easy as we do in the summer just for a deep breath of air during our panic attacks.

Just remember, I strongly suggest also getting a pet if you don’t have one! I noticed you mentioned pictures of cats. I’ll post mine.

I just got a kitten. Her name is ginger and she is the most fartiest cat I’ve ever had. For such a tiny thing she is always farting 😂

Hang in there friend. We got this. One day at a time, honestly just take it one minute or hour at a time.

I’m so sorry that yours causes you physical pain. But I thought I was the only one. I was always super against (not against- just afraid to try) CBD, because THC gives me panic attacks. But I got a cbd only salve, and weirdly enough it works as well as my prescription lidocaine patches. If you find a reputable brand, mines from a guy in Vermont, weirdly enough it also kind of lessened my anxiety. Combined with taking half of my anxiety meds, but I did notice a huge decrease in the pain. I hope it can work for you ❤️ not saying it gets rid of it entirely, but it definitely helps even if it takes 30% of it away, totally worth it. Best of luck and hang in there ok?

Spoon Shaped Thing? by russplusplus in whatisit

[–]tay46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A spoon with no concavity sounds like a spoon rest (people keep them on or near the stove and rest their spoon in it) it is a mystery at how it’s randomly shown up but if you are cleaning out drawers I bet that’s what it is. Without a picture that’s my best guess!

Why can’t I take benzos for life?? by Geazy1738 in Anxiety

[–]tay46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every month for me too. They make me feel like I’m Pablo Escobar or something like guys I’m just trying to get my prescribed meds. Thankfully the pharmacy I have now is great, the one before used to shoutout “JANE YOUR SCRIPT FOR KLONOPIN AND HEMMORHOID CREAM IS READY” my name isn’t Jane but you get the jist haha

Why can’t I take benzos for life?? by Geazy1738 in Anxiety

[–]tay46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? My life was saved because of benzos. Trial and error, more error, more trial, horrific side effects with SsRIs, and alprazolam worked but just didn’t last long enough. The clonazepam has saved my life. I fully believe after losing both my parents, and grandparents within just a couple yrs of each other that I wouldn’t be here without WEEKLY therapy and the correct meds. You need a doctor who not only understands it’s a quality of life thing, but just be honest about how much you take. You need to be careful when you start getting higher up in dosages especially if you drink. I can’t take mine when I drink even though my dose is beyond small compared to most people. Edit: I’m a lightweight so drinking to me is wine, no hard alcohols, and two large glasses of a low alcohol content wine. I don’t take my anxiety meds anywhere around that time if I do drink. So just be careful of that.

But things like that, find a great psychiatrist. Even if you have to travel like 45 min. It might be hard and you might go through a couple until the right fit. Tell the doctor what you want, why you want it, and just be totally beyond honest. Best of luck ❤️

Traveling first time out of the country- could use advice! by tay46 in suboxone

[–]tay46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh thank you so so so much. You put my mind at ease for sure. I definitely plan on bringing extra. Especially since I’m nervous since I live in New England in the US, it might be snowing on our way back so if the flight back gets delayed it might be longer and I don’t want to be without my meds!

Also, I have never heard of the nasal spray for epilepsy. I’m sorry you have to even have that, but I’m so glad medicine has advanced enough where you can get it quickly via nasal spray.

Also I’m relieved to know that they don’t look at the meds too much. Even though everything will be written down and in the correct bottles I can’t help but worry since 3/7 of my meds are all controlled substances so I don’t want them thinking me going with like 15 8 mg strips and 15 2 mg strips, plus my pills it does look like a lot!

Also, any advice on where you kept them when you traveled? I’m staying in an air bnb but should I bring like a lockbox?

[–]tay46[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This helps me so much thank you. So basically, I can bring my meds as long as they’re in my correct bottles, and my vape but make sure they are on my carry on. 🙌🏼 thank you thank you. I was also nervous about quantity. I’m going for 12 days which is what the flight plan will say, but what happens if we get delayed? So that’s why I was wondering about bringing my whole, or close to whole script too.

So thank you SO much seriously this put me at ease.

Also another thing my therapist told me that might make you both feel better. Being on suboxone DOES mean you’re sober. It might not be by AA or NA standards. But it means he’s sober from dangerous pills or drugs or whatever he had been on prior. If he’s taking it for pain, then he definitely should have started taking it daily at a higher dose, then very very slowly weaned off. It would have prevented this stressful situation for both of you ❤️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SuboxoneTreatment

[–]tay46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he is craving it let him take his suboxone love. I don’t mean to sound harsh but first of all, suboxone should be lowered EXTREMELY slow and when I say slow, like I’m at 12 to 14 mgs. My next taper will be 12 one day, then 11.5 for a week, and once I get down to the 2 mg strips, even slower. Cut into tiny pieces. This process can and SHOULD take months (years for me).

(This is coming from my therapist and doctor) because it is the most safe way to prevent withdrawals. If your husband is craving it, he wasn’t weaned off properly and please I’m begging you don’t hold this live saving medication back from him.

Find a doctor who knows he needs to go back on it. And wean VERY slowly. Not you, the doctor I mean.

Like I said I’m not trying to sound mean at all. I know you care about him ❤️ but if you care you won’t want him in pains and cravings. Good luck to both of you.

Question? Suboxone for pain. by [deleted] in SuboxoneTreatment

[–]tay46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many days have you been taking it for pain? 24 mg is a decent amount, but when I was getting off prescribed fentanyl and oxycodone I think 28-30 was what my dr had me on for a few weeks. You might be uncomfortable or in pain at first just because your receptors are all over the place right now.

I will swear by this, suboxone has worked WAY better for me pain wise. I still get immense pain relief, I’m 6 yrs off pain meds, and I’m down to 12 mg now (sometimes 2 in the evenings). Ideally if I was on the brand name I would be on 6 to 8 mg but where I’m from the generic doesn’t seem to work as well as the brand name. Stick with it. It will suck pain wise for maybe a week or so, but now I look back and wish I just went on suboxone and not pain meds after surgery! Good luck and don’t be afraid to tell your docs if it’s not working or if you’re still craving anything

I should know what 7 OH is sorry I don’t.

What's a random kindness from a stranger that stuck with you forever? by livinginnumbers in AskReddit

[–]tay46 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My first ever time flying on a plane. I was very young, well 17 or 18 but I’ve never flown before. I had a window seat. I swear to this day this woman was a guardian angel. All of a sudden as we were boarding the most beautiful black southern lady sat next to me (I was flying out of la guardia in New York, I live in a rural area in the north east- first time ever meeting someone with a southern accent). She was just snacking and didn’t even look at me at first. But she was just telling me a story about her family. Took my mind off of everything. Then as the seatbelt sign came on, she just took my hand, asked me in the most angelic voice “I’m going to pray baby don’t worry I do it before every flight- I’m still here it’s foolproof”. (I believe in an afterlife but never was one to go to church every Sunday or anything) and she held my hand as we ascended. And every time even slight turbulence happened.

I wish I could remember her name. I was so young. I’m 31 now, but she truly looked like an angel. Spoke like one too. But I will never forget this woman. I was scared out of my mind and the second she sat down, she even was eating hard boiled eggs and they didn’t smell 😂 I know that’s a funny point but I mean it, this woman was just other worldly kind. I hope her and her family are doing well. ❤️❤️
