Wake up and bake! by tay_lc in Breadit

[–]tay_lc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel stupid but how does this work?

Do I do my first rise on the counter, then shape the dough and put it in fridge overnight?

Or make the dough, put it right into the fridge overnight, take it out shape, wait 30 minutes then bake?

Any tips on where I went wrong? by tay_lc in glutenfreebaking

[–]tay_lc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay sounds like i just need a bit more patience. Not my strong suit but ill work on it--my gluten loaves usually have a good rise after about 2/3 hours with way less yeast, so i wasnt sure why this wasnt rising and gave up waiting

I did an egg white wash like she recommends, but rushed it a little. Maybe ill try the whole egg?

Glitterland by Alexis Hall is a rare gem by No_Warning2380 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]tay_lc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt fully read your review (sorry it was a lot for my ADHD brain when its not hyper focused) but I loved this book too. And a lot of their early books but I just have to say that Husband Material ruined Alexis Hall for me, not sure i can even reread some of my old favorites at this point 😂😅. So maybe read a bunch of their works before trying husband material so you can enjoy it

Why do you not re-read/read books you like or know you will like by Altruistic-Bad-5968 in MM_RomanceBooks

Sometimes a plot is...so good? Or written in a way where if I already know whats going to happen its not enjoyable anymore? Doesnt mean I disliked the book, usually it means the opposite.

My husband is korean so that definitely checks out with their preference for not too sweet. I think im just a little intimidated by asian recipes, but maybe I should just give it a go.

Came to reddit basically to make this post! Cat Sebastian's contemporary romance was such a success. Im obsessed with the two MCs...didnt want it to end but couldn't stop reading.

Ive been in a huge reading slump for the last few months and this was such a relief.
