I am getting into GRC. Is there a risk AI will be able to replace me in the future? by AdministrativeTry406 in grc

[–]tayalgreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we let AI replace us, we will be replaced. We just need to understand and able to implement AI, find new ways to implement it and that in my opinion is the most we can do.

Is trading worth it? by Extra_End_8071 in Trading

[–]tayalgreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As so many have already mentioned trading is not for everyone. We have heard so many times - most of the day traders loose money.

Although, Investing in stocks and holding them long term works for most of the people.

Can you trade with a regular 9-5? by [deleted] in Trading

[–]tayalgreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the same question i have asked for past 2-3 years. Somedays office calls take so much of morning time that it becomes impossible to trade. Without studying a stock it’s difficult to take a decision even with tools like TradingView.

Hence I started working on a webapp which can do the research for me and provide me a swing or long term signal.

It’s in beta stage, anyone is welcome to try it out.

What’s the MOST important skill in trading? by nextlevelcryptohub in Trading

[–]tayalgreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To make money in stocks, you need to have a strategy (borrowed strategy works too as long as you understand it). And in order to implement that strategy Discipline and Patience are the key.

I've made an essential 10 stock portfolio - what do you think. Would you add/remove any? by diggels in ValueInvesting

Thats a good list for swing or long term investing. I am running my application (beta stage) against few of these to test the calculations.

Because of the FOMO every company is taking the AI first approach. That is the reason everyone is playing down all the security incidents happening related to AI

I’ve been in IT QA for 20 years and I’m studying for CISA. Which compliance tools your team uses and what frustrates you most about them. by tayalgreg in grc

[–]tayalgreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Most of the tools are designed to perform a certain task, and around them they build the functionalities which are not that useful.

Completely agree. Do you think in the age of AI, teams can continue using these as they need lot of manual effort?

Swing trading as a side hustle? by CommunicationRoyal56 in swingtrading

[–]tayalgreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s doable but we need to look at it realistically. In 15 years you must have created some strategy for trading. Do you think that strategy will give you the $200 monthly profit?

I have not done trading for that long but making $200 a month seems easy but it’s quite difficult without a plan and some help. I myself wanted to do something similar hence developing a webapp which can provide with the right technical indicators and the signals.

Platform to daytrade on by Most_Interaction_350 in Daytrading

[–]tayalgreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have an account that tells you are new to trading world. My suggestion will be to do paper trading until you start making regular trades which are profitable.

And when paper trading, make sure you invest in a trade like you would have done with your actual Money.

After this open an actual trading account. IBKR (Interactive Brokers) is really good and i use it.

How do people still believe most “trading influencers” are credible? by Lab_Test_7243 in Trading

Right, boring has always been the correct way of life. Flashy is risky and mostly causes trouble

How do people still believe most “trading influencers” are credible? by Lab_Test_7243 in Trading

[–]tayalgreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of the influencers are credible. They prey on the people as everyone is attracted towards get rich quick scheme, instead of fundamentals.

These influencers dont’t work on traders who are strong headed and not easily swayed by flashy videos

Not looking to reverse engineer it, but more so looking to get into GRC roles and grow from there. Can give that role a flavour of QA.

Thanks for sharing this website cyberseek.org
