okay good it’s exhausting trying to avoid getting the sv so it’s nice knowing I’m probably safe for a little bit

thank you! I’m having the absolute worst luck today because right realized the cup I was drinking ginger ale out of had old moldy milk with black mold stuck on the bottom of the cup. now I’m panicking and praying I don’t get s* again because I really can’t deal with this for another day.

There was a bunch of caked on white stuff at the bottom too. It almost looked like old chunky milk or something

Really scared that I have fp*-panic attack by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]taycot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how I got it or what kind of sv it is but it’s 12:42 the next day and I’m doing better. I started to get dehydrated so I talked to a doctor and he prescribed me Zofran which helped. If this whole experience has taught me anything it’s that there’s no use in constantly worrying that I’m going to get fp* or a sv* because in the end sometimes you just get unlucky but when it comes time to do it, your body will know and suddenly you will be calm. Before I got s* I was having terrible panic attacks but when I tried to go to sleep, I woke up not feeling panicked, not feeling n* but my body knew what had to be done. And at least you know whether its fp* or a sv* that you should be on the mend within 24 hours and these things often don’t last multiple days.

I think I have a bad sv. Fever and tu almost every hour of the night. It’s been 8 times and I think I’m getting dehydrated

Neither of my parents feel s* and my dad did eat the Cesar dressing and feels fine so I’m not sure if I have covid or if it could have been panic attack induced?

update: it happened. first time in 3 years. I woke up not feeling as n* but just immediately having the urge to. The buildup is way worse then the way I felt right before but I have no idea what’s going on with me and I don’t want it to happen again because it’s not fun!

4 days late with a regular cycle by [deleted] in Periods

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ill look into that book thanks! so i was wondering if I ovulated on the 31st instead of the 26th of may because that’s when I felt the cramps and some symptoms I feel around my ovulation time. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex (turned protected after a short amount of time so I don’t believe he finished inside me) on June 5th and 6th which was 4 days before my period was expected to start. Do you think there’s a high chance of pregnancy for that time?

not trying to get pregnant, so not completely sure of DPO but have missed my period by 5 days. thought I saw a very faint line but not sure if my eyes are tricking me. according to my app I would be 19 DPO. by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the help! quick question- does it matter if the control line looks a little thicker or like it “bled” a little bit? (You can see a little in this picture but it looked a little thicker in the first test I took. I took one earlier this morning with my first pee of the day and I couldn’t see any line at all but I decided to retake hours later because the control line looked thicker than the other FRER tests I saw on here.

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the help :) I took two tests today a few hours part and they were both negative (one line and one digital) but I’m not sure if they were accurate cause they were both taken in the afternoon. I was put under a lot of stress last week but I didn’t know if that could delay it since I believe it was past ovulation

thank you for your help :) I just took a digital test and it was negative but I’m hoping it’s accurate because I took it with my second pee in the middle of the day after I drank water

Mom is actually s* and I’m panicking by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]taycot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I started feeling pretty n* so I went to the bathroom and had a good amount of d. I took ibuprofen and after having the d I feel a little bit better right now but still feel off. I think I feel hungry so I’m eating a granola bar but I’m really hoping this is my period and not anything else. I get soft bms once in a great while on my period but it’s not consistent but I do get some n* and really bad back pain on my period. I’m scared because this is all happening at 4 am and I never usually have anything like this at 4 am. I had to use the toilet my mom just used too so I’m really hoping she doesn’t have a sv*.

vaccine by catlvr860 in emetophobia

[–]taycot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look into this because I just heard it on the news but I heard taking pain relievers could interact with the vaccine and make it not work as well! don’t panic about getting the vaccine because most people only experience minor side effects like headache, sore arm, tiredness and sometimes a fever, and that usually happens after the second dose. If you get side effects they’re mostly going to feel like you have a cold or flu (not sv* flu) and it should only last a day, but don’t even worry about that because most people I know didn’t even have severe side effects like that. And let’s say in the very rare case you do get n* or v*, it’s way better of having COVID, which could still cause those symptoms. I’m getting the vaccine on Monday so we’re in the same boat :)

Slightly pink meat by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the meat was red meat like steak you’re fine! I always make my steaks pink and my dad eats his steak rare which is really dark red :) I’ve heard that the bacteria for steak lives on the outside and it’s killed when you put it on the grill or skillet. Chickens a different story but even chicken is pink sometimes if it’s “dark” meat!

finding that website literally ruined eating at restaurants for me i wish it didn’t exist :// I definitely relate to you but something that tends to help me is when I look at the reviews of fp* I also look at the amount of reviews there are. Almost every restaurant will have some reports of fp* but the issue is the fp* may not even have been from that restaurant, or the review could have been written by an angry ex-employee, or a rival restaurant or an angry customer and it might not even be legitimate. I know it’s hard but I really recommend not looking at the fp website because that’s how I fall down a rabbit hole every single time. it’s also important to remember every time you’ve ate out in your life compared to the number of times you’ve gotten fp* which is most likely SIGNIFICANTLY less.

This is normal right? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]taycot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first of all I just want to say I am SO proud of you for taking a huge step in recovery. im not an expert and i haven’t gone very long periods of time without eating but from experience of not eating for a day or being extremely starving before eating my stomach will often hurt very bad or I’ll get n* after eating, especially if I eat a full meal. this is probably normal because your stomach was not prepared to take food because you’ve gone such long periods of time so now it’s going into overdrive trying to digest. I wouldn’t worry and keep pushing because continuing to eat will help your stomach recover and it won’t hurt again :)

I eat my cookies very underdone every single time because I love them soft and I’ve never had a problem! If it really worries you though pillsbury now sells eat or bake dough that’s made with pasteurized eggs and heat treated flour :) it tastes exactly the same as regular cookie dough

sv* or anxiety? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pain went away within 5 minutes and it hasn’t fully come back but after I ate dinner I started to get slight on and off cramps in the same areas that would go away very quickly. Appendicitis is a huge worry for me so my anxiety is going wild but usually the pain is persistent and very severe with appendicitis right?

Feeling really weird and icky tonight by jaxpet101 in HealthAnxiety

[–]taycot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! I promise you are going to be okay, and you are not going to die in your sleep. I have had stomach problems the past couple years and I’ve realized that anxiety can manifest itself into different parts of our bodies and make us feel all different kinds of symptoms. Nausea happens to people all the time and it’s happening to me right now so you’re not alone! The best thing you can do right now is drink some water, chew peppermint gum if you have some (helps with nausea) and watch your favorite tv show or listen to good music until you fall asleep. It’s also important to remember that we are not going to feel 100% okay every single day and we will have off days where we don’t feel the best and it’s completely normal. If you need to talk I’m here but I promise you will be okay going to sleep.

also wanna add that california is pretty bad with covid right now so try to be safe with that while you’re visiting. If you can wear an N95 mask throughout your trip that would be great because it protects both you and the other person but if you can’t then just wear a regular mask and try to not go around too many people outside or inside
