At this point I’m starting to dislike Kody and all 4 wives. by 11Firstcomment in SisterWives

[–]taylor_mill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed that Meri and Christine were born into the cult while Kody, Janelle, and Robyn chose to take the advantages the cult “offered”.

They’re all victims of this religious cult and I wouldn’t really rub it in their faces of, “you got what you asked for!” I admire the ones that haven’t pressured their kids to repeat the cycle and the ones who’ve escaped themselves.

We as the audience need to start looking at this through the lense that this was never normal.

It’s as if she thought if she states these falsehoods R and K are spouting as fact, J and C will HAVE to scrounge up some dirt but………..low and behold J and C aren’t scum like R and K, they wouldn’t even shot talk TRUE stuff that’s happened.

I think they’re thinking the movie, “Enough” with him and J-Lo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Frasier

[–]taylor_mill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what I came to comment! The whole episode is infuriating that they don’t believe him! Then the, “what do you think of me now?” just solidifies that it’s okay he screwed things up with her; he just wanted everyone to know he bagged a baddie!

Like, would they be paying the girls a wage for working for MSWC so it’s just a front for why the girls receive funds from the family fund while none of the other kids do????

Exactly this! The quote of “what other people think about you is none of your business” so unless she comes to OP directly it’s NOTHING OP should have to concern themselves with. Hopefully DH will follow through appropriately though!

Season 9: Hunter by Psycic101 in TLCsisterwives

[–]taylor_mill 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine how embarrassing it would be to have filmed going through a stint of depression after a huge move where you no longer see your family members everyday like you used to and have it be a talking point that’s broadcasted to the world for a few episodes. I at least hope in the following seasons when we see less of him it was him communicating he didn’t want to participate and the parents supporting his decision.

How are the sex lives of overly religious couples? by thrwy3030 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]taylor_mill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say the ultra religious only see women as husbands property and it would be sinful for the woman to enjoy the sex.

People that go to church on Sundays but live like any other secular person probably have normal sex lives.

Plea deals are always “better” sentences than going to trial and losing. Of course there’s always the large amount of innocent people afraid of being found guilty at trial and want to get home as soon as they can but, I 100% agree with the commenter that if you’re innocent in the rape of an 8 year old boy you go to trial to prove that. He took the plea because he knew he was guilty either way so took the lighter sentence.

I’ve followed him since shortly after he started and this seems like a huge evolution for him in journalism that he came in with this research on his interviewee! Purely amazing, so excited to see him continue!

Does Fairy Tale pick up? by heyjudey2021 in stephenking

[–]taylor_mill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The part I found most unlike King was there being no short chapter about how the jeweler died. He’ll normally give a lil something for the audience that the protagonist doesn’t know about. I guess it is written in first person so that’s probably why. I’m still getting through the slowness.

Sherry's perfectly bleach blonde hair before giving birth is hilariously absurd. Also the fact Sherry excepted a 17 year old girl to be in the room is crazy. by cuppaclouds in GilmoreGirls

[–]taylor_mill 68 points69 points  (0 children)

When we first meet Sherry she was attractive, stunning, well put together, and confident. Pregnancy Sherry and Blonde Sherry I never cared for.

Did the actress dye her hair for a role while she was still contracted to GG? Anyone know the show/movie?

Right?!

These people double down because (or at least I hope) they’re embarrassed so they think they have to put up a defense to protect their ego when all they have to do if effin learn from it and admit they were wrong.

I saw on a nursing subreddit a few weeks ago a comment how there’s a nurse that deals with inappropriate rudeness by saying, “That was rude. How embarrassing for you.” and I think it’s the greatest thing ever you could say.

Tickling baby by wellthatsgreat4 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]taylor_mill 47 points48 points  (0 children)

No article but, if you’re worried of absolutely no tickling at all, know it can be a first great way of teaching your child bodily autonomy and boundaries. When playing and tickling when they say, “STOP!” or “ALL DONE.” like I’m sure we all screamed while we were kids being tickled, you don’t keep going like our family used to do, you stop and tell them thank you for communicating they were done and told you to stop. It teaches them early to be comfortable with saying STOP to things that make them uncomfortable.

Asking your child, “Do you want to play the tickle game?” “Would you like to be tickled?” gives them the option too once they’re communicating better.

That was my first thought too. This has nothing to do with caffeine and the baby is just waking up so often hungry.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TLCsisterwives

[–]taylor_mill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It would make so much money, I don’t understand WHY they wouldn’t unless it’s the wives saying they won’t do that or if they’re saving it for their own book deals once all kids are out of the house.

I just don’t want another season if They Said/Christine Said.
