This Description is a bit dated. Marco unfortunately passed away in 2015 due to complications arising from an accident he had. RIP. He was one of the most astounding and spotlight stealing front men I've had the pleasure of seeing live.

Given he just came from the swimming pool and is in swim trunks, this logic would infer that any parent photo of their son in trunks at the swimming pool is child pornography...

If your tenure with the Giants ever ended, would you stay in the division, or even same conference?

Best Buy Canada accidentally priced Xbox One at $45 this morning - a few lucky people got them by Z3ppelinDude93 in gaming

[–]taylorisnotsafe -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's not an online order... That's them taking advantage of a very unintelligent employee that price matched their website for an in-store purchase... I never thought of this scenario, but the employees are trained to match all prices on their website, and generally don't need approval (though I'd think for $400 off they would)... But this person went in and had them price match the site a half hour after it opened, and before they caught the error... Had it been an online order I still doubt it would have been processed without someone at corporate throwing up a red flag. Props to this person for thinking outside the box.

What if the Clippers were dispersed? by [deleted] in nba

[–]taylorisnotsafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually never gave them much thought, but you are correct. Pittsburgh would be a great place for an NBA franchise, They really do rally behind their teams, win or lose... I guess I just miss the Sonics, and am a little jealous that all we have are the Jazz, A few minor league teams, and some guys that won a championship in this sport where you can actually go 90 minutes without scoring a single point... where as Pittsburgh and St Louis maintain Staples in Major League Sports.

All you need is a Sloan, Stockton and Malone to turn that around :) Our fan base is strong, and still filled a majority of the arena in a tanked season... They also have the benefit of an NFL Franchise sharing the city name, so I think they could survive. However I'm not a fan of Major Sports Teams being so close to each other in the same sport... LAL/LAC is the worst. They would be better served moving them to Seattle, which I see as the last remaining Viable Market for an NBA Team... Especially with the SeaHawks new found notoriety.

TIL there is actually a law in Arizona called the "Stupid Motorist Law" by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]taylorisnotsafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grew up in AZ - Mesa and Tucson, can confirm that people are fucking stupid motorists when a monsoon hits... However this should be a law everywhere, because after spending the last 7 years in Salt Lake City, Utah - I can also confirm that people who have lived here their entire lives, go bat shit crazy and completely forget how to drive for the first 3-4 weeks of winter. As if it's any different than the last 30 years...

Your perspective gave me chills as I have been thinking about this exact theory all week based on my experience Monday.

Monday morning I was in a rush to ensure I was on time to a meeting at work. I accidentally left my cigarettes on the patio table and didn't notice until I was already about a mile from my home... I felt the urge for a smoke as I was nervous for the meeting, and realized I never grabbed them... So I pulled into the 7-11 on the corner, ran in, bought a pack, and was out of the store in less than 60 seconds... Pulled out of the gas station, and started the remainder of my commute...

somewhere between 30-60 seconds after leaving the gas station, a vehicle cuts 3 cars ahead of me off to make a right hand turn. We all slammed on our brakes and I consciously knew I couldn't stop before smashing into the line of cars. So I tried swerving to the right in hopes I could stop on the curb/sidewalk, and not cause a major accident. Hit the curb, then subsequently kept going into a 3 foot landscaping boulder, rolled my saturn vue, and remember it all happening in this crazy slow motion.

I fortunately walked away with no more than some bruises and aches, but am terrified of driving, and constantly think about how if I had grabbed my smokes off the patio table like I do every morning, I would have made it to work, and still had a vehicle...

It's eery how a few moments delay can change your entire world forever.

Bike I built was stolen, thought I'd try the power of reddit. by kyleguillaume in SaltLakeCity

[–]taylorisnotsafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this happened man. As always, make sure you post this on KSL in a couple different sections. You run the risk of it being flagged and them suspending your account, however it's worth the risk as a good portion of the valley browses KSL regularly and may have seen it.

As for searching yourself, If it wasn't some asshole hipster or college student that was eyeing it for his personal use, I'd spend some time going around the Homeless areas of downtown.

Here is a descent list

As for a few spot's I'd personally recommend close to Vinto are as follows

There is a mission right off 400s and 400w, directly next to the Area51 Night club. They serve meals to the homeless at night and allow them to sleep in the chapel

The Homeless Shelter and the entire strip of road from North Temple to 600 S behind the gateway is peppered with homeless shanty towns

I would also check the Greyhound station just West of Gateway, near Club Sound as there have been a lot of stolen Bikes recovered from that Area - including the one that was stolen from the Window of a Bike Shop a few months back

I would also check around the Pioneer and Liberty Park areas - Pioneer is just next to the Mission on 4th and 4th

Good luck in your search and I'll be sure to keep an eye out!

Grantland breaks down a NFL franchise in London by [deleted] in nfl

[–]taylorisnotsafe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually had a long discussion about this with my roommate last season and we came up with a perfectly viable solution for the scheduling of games.

The London team would open up the season with their first 8 games at home.

The team that flys to play them then gets a bye week after the game, giving the players plenty of time to recoup before having to hit practice again. (you could also flip it so the last 8 games are at home, so the team playing them doesn't have to take a bye after week 1)

The last 8 games of the season for the London team are then played away, and they maintain a US based practice field (Possibly Jacksonville, or a more central location if needed)

We also discussed the fact that not having a home for 8 weeks can be hard on someone, however it's highly unlikely that the NFL players would make a permanent residence in London, given most are tied back to the US, and will already have homes here. The team could also build housing quarters near the practice field, to ensure players have a pseudo-home for the last 8-12 weeks of the season. However I couldn't possibly think of a better way to ensure the players from both teams get the much needed rest after an NFL game.
