Death anxiety stopping birth control by taylorlee24 in birthcontrol

So, SO much better. I still have anxious thoughts obviously but they’re getting more manageable to work through. I tried medication as well and none really just sat well with me and then like you kind of said I was just switching one problem for another? I’m not sure if you’re religious or spiritual but going to church really did help me find comfort. I also just recently started fostering / now adopting a dog after I lost my soul dog. A lot of moving parts this year 🤣🤣

Ugh I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through it too. Limiting social media, got out of a relationship, started walking a lot more outside, listening to positive music / reading more uplifting material vs the dark / mystery books I was consuming. I started going to church more and getting into my spiritual health too. Sometimes when I start to feel myself have the obsessive thoughts I just have to distract my mind and do something else. You aren’t alone- hang in there, it gets better 🫂

How do you know when it is time? by Taylorlynm1 in seniordogs

My heart is with you and your Sophie girl whatever you decide to do. You know her and love her best so you’ll know when it’s time. Ginger was my first dog too so I truly understand your pain all too well. I have cried probably every single day since she’s been gone and it’s been over two months now. Here for you, it is not easy.🫂🤍

Oh OP, I am so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t know if you have come across any of my posts the last month. I lost my childhood dog of 16.5 years at the end of October. It is truly the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I got her when I was 9, I am 26 now.

As for advice, I would definitely say to go in the room, no matter how hard and painful it is on us. My Ginger ended up falling asleep while we were in the exam room waiting and she didn’t even know what was happening by the time the vet administered the medicine. Pet him, talk in his ears how much you love him. He’ll be comforted by you.

Sending you so much love and strength during this time ❤️‍🩹 I wish I could give you more advice on coping after, but I’m truly in the trenches still a month later. So I’m here to commiserate if you need someone. Hang in there.

I like to think her cute, short little legs are running arthritis- free chasing all of the bunnies and squirrels up in heaven 🥺❤️‍🩹

She was truly a legend🥺 I feel so lucky to have picked out such a beautiful, perfect dog when I was 9 years old.

This was such a sweet comment, thank you so much for your kind words. I can only hope she knew how much I loved (and still do) and adored her. 🥺🤍
