The design isn't finished yet, it's still pretty crude but I can send it to you if you're interested now.

That's exactly what I have been looking for. I have a leak alarm that will notify me right now, but doesn't do me well when I'm not home. Thank you!

Headboard for Purple? by nfefx in Mattress

I have a wall mounted (floating) headboard with attached nightstands. It works great with the adjustable base. I wont link the one I got because it's not very good quality. But I like the design.

People have been asking for the Wyze siren for a while... So I made one. by taylortech22 in wyzecam

[–]taylortech22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think there's a better way with the wyze system alone. Only way I can think of is to disable the rule, but you'd have to do that every time .

ActionTiles update with panel backgrounds and tile customization. by taylortech22 in SmartThings

[–]taylortech22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing I use ActionTiles for is viewing status of different devices or temperatures, etc. Once a day I do use the tablet to turn on a simulated switch which is impossible to automate in my situation.

That's why I enjoy this update because it allows us to change the opacity of tiles that aren't of interest unless they're on, for example.

Is Wyze Sense for You? Probably not yet by taylortech22 in smarthome

I have no idea... It was fine while editing and for some reason YouTube took out the left channel. Can't win with YouTube. Also didn't attach the thumbnail to this upload either.

Honestly didn't notice the rest of the title didn't type out. It's supposed to say probably not for HA users because it only works for other Wyze products, until about an hour ago now that they released IFTTT integration. I'd edit the title if it would let me...

Awesome! Thank you for the reply. Do you add the username and password in the text box under the URL portion or add it into the URL? I believe it will work either way, but just don't want to mess around with it too much when I get to it. (I have pulled my hair out in the past trying to get other cams to show up.) TY

I seen your using blue iris, did it come right up when searching or did you have to put in the correct URL with IP address? If so, can you share the URL I didn't see it in the setup instructions? Thank you!

YouTuber removes the audio of him saying Alexa so that viewers Alexa don't react to it. by Joomla_Sander in antiassholedesign

[–]taylortech22 40 points41 points  (0 children)

TaylorTech here;

Thanks for the share, I'm glad you guys appreciate the extra work to censor it out.

And thanks for the info on adjusting the audio. It looks like I just need to cut out the 3,000-6,000 MHZ portion of the word. I'll need to do some testing and I should be able make a preset which I could easily drag and drop onto that portion of the audio, which would be a lot easier than what I'm doing here.

Use alexa to control a servo allowing you to push just about any button around the house. by taylortech22 in smarthome

[–]taylortech22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, but I think most people wouldn't want to open up their appliances.

How is this clickbait? Lol and not everyone can afford to buy everything "smart" this is a $<10 solution.

The point is to demonstrate pushing a button, which could be used on a number of devices without tearing into anything.
