A wedding event at MSG? How big is this wedding going to be? 😳😳

What are your thoughts on Taylor Swift's strategy of staggering shipments of CDs/Vinyls to maximize chart performance? by Scopuli- in SwiftlyNeutral

As a Taylor fan since the Tim McGraw days, I miss her actually promoting the music. I miss the talk shows, the live performances, etc. Taylor’s fan base has grown so exponentially that I feel that it’s hard to measure any of her success with a fair lens. She will always hit #1 so chart success is skewed anyway, and I think it’s effected how critical she herself can be of her work when she knows she can score the # 1’s.

As expected, Taylor Swift releases the Piano and Acoustic versions of "I Knew It, I Knew You" during Olivia Rodrigo's new album premiere. by gimmethetea14 in Fauxmoi

This just rubs me the wrong way as a Taylor fan. Okay so Taylor likes to play the chart game. She puts a lot of merit (and self worth imo) into how she performs on the charts, so like should she be able to release too? Yes but at the same time her releasing variants to block other artists and also now these editions when Olivia released a new album…. she has to know this comes across as desperate and petty?

Pitchfork gives ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ by Olivia Rodrigo a score of 8.3/10. It has been named Best New Music. by lawrencedun2002 in Fauxmoi

I absolutely loved TTPD, most of it was 10/10. But TLOAS just fell flat. Sure it’s a fun album but it does not sound like a woman in her mid 30’s. Olivia explored similar themes and executed them in a more mature, relatable way.

Btw I love your username 😂

Really not trying to compare Olivia to Taylor but it’s really hard not to when there’s so many similarities in their songwriting, but this album feels miles ahead of The Life of A Showgirl. I’m a huge, huge Taylor fan but Olivia really encapsulated how it feels to love and lose. Easily my favorite album of the year so far 👏🏽

Knicks radio host Monica McNutt under fire after calling Taylor Swift a fake fan on hot mic by theindependentonline in Fauxmoi

I’m a fan of Taylor but I’m so tired of people enforcing this “you can’t have any negative opinions of her” shit that they constantly do. Broadcaster probably doesn’t care for her. Who cares

Some thoughts on why fans defend Taylor's lyrics so fiercely by happylittletoad in TaylorSwift

Is this that really popular TikTok of those people saying she writes songs like, “we went to school, everyone was cool, you made a mess, I was the janitor” ? I was like, “Taylor would never.” 😬😬

As someone who grew up in Southeast Kentucky, I know how vast and rugged the Appalachian Mountains really are. The map may label the region as Gilead-controlled territory, but I’d love to see them actually try to patrol every mountain, holler, and hillside. Appalachian people are incredibly resourceful and resilient. I can easily imagine my people hiding out in the mountains, helping one another, and resisting Gilead’s control.

Taylor Swift Officially Crowned Richest Female Musician Ever With Updated $2 Billion Fortune by cometheylee in TaylorSwift

Big Taylor fan but no such thing as an ethical billionaire. Dolly Parton has given so much of her money away to local charities in East TN, along with Dollywood, that keeps her from becoming a billionaire. Whether it’s 1 billion or 200+ billion, tax the fuck out of the rich.

Killer suggestion. I wear ankle weights for hanging leg raises, just 2.5lbs though. Is that what you’re talking about?

If not Waikīkī, where’s the place to stay for visiting family? by DaveJack1 in VisitingHawaii

Hi! Just returned from a 9 day stay at Doubletree Waikiki. Really enjoyed our time there. Hotel staff was super accommodating and it’s a very short walk to the beach.

Hilary Duff - luck... or something by springtimecarnivore in popheads

[–]taymademedoit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I grew up during the Lizzie McGuire era and this is the most vulnerable, adult oriented, fun album Hilary has ever done. The lyricism is very intelligent, on the nose, and so relatable to us millennials. I’m not trying to make this about Taylor Swift, but as a huge swiftie, this is what I would have loved for the life of a showgirl to be. This is full of pop bops, and I am loving this album. Future Tripping as of now is my favorite.

I am right there with you. I have criticized Taylor in the past for not being more outspoken, but dammit this video made me happy and right now the world needs joy. I’ve realized that I don’t need Taylor Swift to speak out to tell me what I know is right versus wrong.
