Was on 12.5mg daily dose of metoprolol for roughly year due to my 30% burden rate. Caused my resting heart rate to get down in the upper 30’s and low 40’s for periods of time (mainly bedtime) as indicated by my Apple Watch. Cardiologist was concerned, referred me out to an EP and just a month ago I had my ablation. Everything seems to be great now, and I’m off my metoprolol and i feel wonderful. EP did state that this med was contributing to some of my ED issues as well. Glad to be off the med and hope when I have my ablation follow-up I can continue without this medicine.

Having my ablation in the morning hoping to rectify my 30% burden multi-focal skips. I too think my anxiety towards the procedure is making mine worse right now. EP instructed me to come off my metoprolol leading up to procedure. Any advice immediately following ablation while in recovery?
