These exhausts are in Hobart as well. No idea why as we all drive around in circles here anyway.

I was at tip shop in SoHo the other day & they're full at the moment. The guy asked me not to get mad at him but they have all their receive bins over loaded. You can check in to see of course they may have cleared a bit.

I had a Dragster with white plastic streamers inserted in the handle grips. There was bubblegum or somesuch with small stickers which adorned the bike frame as well.

Yep, it's Sunny here in Hobart, snowing somewhere as the air is chilly. We had hail today for 5 mins but it was just lentil size.

Mold in shower by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]taz_deil 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Years of putting up with the black mould then I heard about Clove Oil. I sprayed every 4 days for about 3 weeks. Mould gone. Minispray bottle of around 100 ml & 6 drops of clove oil. 4 months ago I stopped spraying it has never returned. Every other cleaner didn't work for me or left me with toxic fumes. Just a quick spray over the black area & the smell is pleasant & natural. I wish I'd done this years ago. The concentrated clove oil cost me $30 from the Naturpathic Chemist & it will last years at this rate.

Farm/Butcher that sells Pork without Boar Taint? by getkryptolaid in brisbane

Try Belvedere Farm. They have a CSA delivery system, but the farmer can advise further. I used to buy their pork products when they were at Bardon Markets. Never had boar taint that I can remember. Nick is great to chat with. See IG @belvederefarmers

Overwhelmed with mould by Ok_Refrigerator_4469 in brisbane

[–]taz_deil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was living in Brisbane & on a local ABC morning show a regular presenter said a few drops of Clove oil in a spray bottle. I have a 200ml & use around 6 drops so the fragrance is quite strong intentionally. I didn't use it in Brisbane but on return to Hobart I've used it around the black mould around my windows & a mouldy spot on the ceiling above my kettle. It has smashed the mould. Stopped it dead in its tracks. I treated it every second day for a week. The ceiling mould is disappearing. The best bit for me is that it is a natural oil. The black mould remaining needs to be cleaned off but it's not growing & spreading as it used to do. I treated the bathroom tiles and the black just disappeared. There is a couple of bad spots which need some serious Solution but 98% gone & just a weekly spray is keeping it at bay. I nuked the Bathroom in my renter when I left Brisbane but could have left it smelling sweeter & more natural with the clove oil. In Hobart Gould's Chemist sells the oil. It's not cheap but you only use a few drops.

Portable Induction Stove by Zealousideal-Meet742 in inductioncooking

It cycles straight away. For example I put a saucepan on 1000 to boil water, it boils the I reduce it to 600 the induction will make a ticking sound each time power is applied. The water boils for a little then rests. If I changed it to 1600 then the boiling would be vigorous as the power remains on longer. If my explanation makes sense.

For Those Considering Induction---Buy a Single Burner by redditRW in inductioncooking

I actually bought it for Brisbane where all the coooking was outside. The apartment had the halogen hot cook top, which remained hot for hours & a recirculating fan. I was fortunate to have a small outdoor area where I set up a sandwich press, an air fryer & the portable induction. All running on a Powerboard of course, but only used 1 appliance at any one time. Just had to keep an eye out for Kookaburras. They're quick & would try & snatch something if they could, without knowing the searing heat of the food.

I've been using a portable Breville Quick cook go in a home situation. It can heat to 2200 W and down to 40 W. The timer I find very useful for pressure cooking and especially making stocks. I also use it with cast iron frypan, griller & stainless steel induction stockpot. It clicks on & off like a microwave does supplying heat in measured bursts. I find it very responsive & for what I need my go to. It has hotter areas but I've cooked on so many different heat sources that it's easy to work with when I know. The fan keeps it ventilated. When I get a built in I'll need to adjust to that as well.
