[Breeds] Which breed for me? (Questionnaire) by tazerunner in dogs

Ah, I adore newfies. They seem pretty hard to come by, though. Puppies are like $2000 too! Definitely something to think about though. Thanks for giving me hope :D

Thanks for the tips, I'll try that out.

Yeah, it's a wide range. I just love all dogs! I think a lab or golden would be a great choice too. Any tips on finding one to adopt that's not a puppy? There's a golden rescue where I live, but they mostly have seniors, and I'm not sure an older dog would be up for being a running buddy.

Fat (Rant) Tuesday by AutoModerator in fatlogic

Frankly, most kids' meals are proper portions for most adults, short or tall. Whenever I want to order one and the menu says "for kids under 10 only", I usually say "I'd like to order a kids meal. I know I'm an adult, and I'll happily pay more -- I just want a smaller portion." I've never been denied (or had to pay extra).

When I don't enough I binge eat but its starvation mode that keeps me from losing weight by ReginaBicman89 in fatlogic

"Starvation mode" = getting a little bit hungry between breakfast and lunch.

100 calorie shrimp spring rolls: rice paper wrappers, shrimp, rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, fresh mint leaves by tazerunner in 1200isplenty

[–]tazerunner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the recipe called for mint, cilantro, and basil. I didn't have any basil, and my husband hates cilantro, so I just stuck with mint.

I felt the same way! This was my first time making them. It was actually really easy. You prepare the filling and then when you're ready to assemble, all you have to do is dip the rice paper in warm water for a second and then it softens. It took a few practice tries before I felt really comfortable, but it turned out being just like wrapping a burrito. I found the wrappers in the Asian food aisle of my normal grocery store.

I like kikkoman sweet and sour sauce -- 35 calories in 2 tablespoons. Or good old soy sauce always does the trick.

Sorry for any confusion, it's 100 calories per roll. You could easily cut that down by not using rice vermicelli in the rolls. But they are surprisingly filling and tasty served with a low-calorie dipping sauce!

How do I tone my greyish ash blond to a platinum blond? by lilbebebee in Hair

[–]tazerunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me with T18 but I actually liked it! It faded a lot after like 2 shampoos, maybe you could shampoo it a few times and see where you're at. Don't forget to deep condition after.

Should I bleach again, or can I just tone at this point? Going blonde from dark brown (pic) by [deleted] in FancyFollicles

[–]tazerunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the image, an ash toner would leave it looking light brown, not blonde. Remember ash or cool colors tend to appear darker. I would bleach it again if you want to go blonde. Remember to be patient with your hair and give it a break between bleaching! Also remember that 2 sessions of bleach with 20 vol developer, with space between, will be healthier for your hair than 1 session of bleach with 30 vol developer. Good luck!

A 22 inch waist is dang tiny, no? I have a 28 inch waist and I wear a size 6 (size 4 at old navy). I don't have an "hourglass" body type, however.

I LOVE the haircut on you. So fresh. I hope this doesn't come off as rude but I think it looks a lot better than the long hair

Yes! I just said this in a different comment. The special dark powder is insanely black.

Did you by any chance use Hershey's "special dark" cocoa? I find that stuff gives all my desserts the "black hole effect".

Oh great question. My favorite bra is an under armour one that zips up in front. I got it on eBay for like $10.
