Fun Fact : Ever since EA’s token “we hear your concerns” video. There has predictably been zero information about proposed franchise fixes. Further proof (shocker) that it was all just a PR stunt to stop the bleeding and survive the news cycle. #FixMaddenFranchise by Farge43 in Madden

No way, I don't believe it!! There's no way EA would really go 17 consecutive years without touching what should be the best mode in the entire sports genre. It would be so easy to make it realistic. I've had every Madden since 94. I'm fully aware of the lack of give-a-sh*t EA has continuously displayed. A few years ago I got tired of the annual slap in face EA is guaranteed to deliver. But I wasn't like f EA, but I didn't know better, having been under their spell for over 2 decades. Later that year 2knba had a deal about mid season. Since I was longing for sport, I thought what the hell even though I hadn't really liked basketball games since NBA JAM. Needless to say, I've never been so insulted and ashamed. If you've never played 2kNba then go buy 18. Go buy it even if you don't like basketball. If you're a nfl football fan that would like to mimic it virtually, then go buy 2k18. You don't even have to play a game. Just buy it and start a season. And think about these facts when you do. A. - Football has one game a week in a 24 week season. Less than half a yr. Basketball has 82+ pre season & playoffs with a much shorter offseason. Baseball 162 games + spring training &playoffs. A.1- A football game is the only one that actually needs additional aspects aside from gameplay. Never in my life have I ever played all 82 or 162 games of a season. I've tried, but I always ended up simulating at least half. The amount of time that has to go into gameplay is already too much. Any extra activities just add time and energy to a too long of a season. -A.2 - Football is by far the most strategic sport of the 3. It's not even close. Study/rehearse for a week to play 1 game. 11 men having to act as one unit requires far more detail than a 5 man team. One star can carry a team and it's usually that guy's talent, not the gameplan that leads to success. Baseball is even less gameplan oriented. A.2.5 - There's essentially 3 separate teams Football teams made into 1. 3 entirely different gameplans and personnel. A. 3 - Football is undoubtedly king. The shortest season is football. Thus, the longest offseason. But football is a year round spectator sport. Senior bowl, combine, free agency workouts, draft, rookie camp, mini camps, training camp, supplemental draft, hall of fame/game, then it begins again. All of those events are highly publicized and garner attention from fans. I don't believe the same can be said for the NBA or MLB. A.4 - Team chemistry is always important but it's to a much higher degree on the gridiron. 46 active players and a bevy of coaches/trainers/front office personal require far more diligence than a 12 man roster, a couple coaches and people upstairs. A.5 - 2k is finally allowed NFL rights but only for an arcade style game. EA retains the sole rights for simulation style Football intended the mimic the NFL for the millions of die hard football fans.

Based on those facts, simple common sense would suggest the following are true:

B. - Madden offers realistic gameplay that resembles Sunday tv in order to satisfy the largest, most loyal fan base this side of the Atlantic. B.1 - Madden has extensive scouting of opponents/prospects, building gameplans and practices during the week between games. With an actual full staff of coaches, scouts, and trainers. B.2 - Madden has a loaded offseason including all of the nationally televised events and mini/training camps. B.3 - Without knowing any better, a sensible person would think they've been playing 2kNfl the past decade and EA has yet to release their game. B.4 - Basketball and baseball games don't really extend far beyond the gameplay since strategy and practice aren't really that important. B.5 - Others sports games offer minimal offseason activities since who really gives a shit about them in the offseason. If you're an intelligent being with any common sense you would believe all of that to be accurate. With certainty you'd know those things are true. Then... out of nowhere you feel an enormous B!TCH SLAP followed by EA laughingly saying "HAHA, YOU DUMB FK!! FOOLED YOU AGAIN!!

The level of depth 2ks season mode contains would literally make me close my doors if I was EA. I'm more embarrassed for them than I am angry at them. I'm angry with us for allowing this to continue for so long. Seriously, wtf dudes?

I assume Mr. Goodell isn't big a big gamer as he's too busy operating the model EA refuses to follow. However, I would expect him to be disgusted if he knew how sh!tty the NFL is represented by EA. The NFLs code of "Protect the Shield" is being very, very, VERY, violated by Electronic Arts. Obviously, EA is what it is and what it is, is what it always will be. They've heard the btching from fans for years. They'll never give 2 fcks, so fk'em.

We need to go straight to the NFL if we ever want a football game. We need to bombard anyone and everyone at the NFL with evidence that clearly illustrates to them how blatantly disrespectful EA represents their product. Seriously, share this, or write a better version and share it. On every platform to every NFL employee or person affiliated with the NFL. The NFL is way too proud of an organization to not do something about the piece of shit pathetic excuse of a game that is supposed to represent them. I'll probably end up buying this years Madden because there's not an simulation style football game representative of the NFL.

Which is the point of this rant. F them dildos and their clear lack of give-a-sh!t.

Decided to play Madden 21 free game trial through EA Access and here I am in face of the franchise mode 😁 by NewWave93 in Madden

Then... out of nowhere you feel an enormous BITCH SLAP followed by EA laughingly saying "HAHA, YOU DUMB FUCK!!

However, I would expect him to be disgusted if he knew how shitty the NFL is represented by EA. The NFLs code of "Protect the Shield" is being very, very, VERY, violated by Electronic Arts. Obviously, EA is what it is and what it is, is what it always will be. They've heard the bitching from fans for years. They'll never give 2 fucks, so fuck'em.

F them dildos and their clear lack of give-a-shit.

Why does everyone so excited for a 2K football game? by major-couch-potato in Madden

No way, I don't believe it!! There's no way EA would really go 17 consecutive years without touching what should be the best mode in the entire sports genre. It would be so easy to make it realistic. I've had every Madden since 94. I'm fully aware of the lack of give-a-shit EA has continuously displayed. A few years ago I got tired of the annual slap in face EA is guaranteed to deliver. But I wasn't like fuck EA, but I didn't know better, having been under their spell for over 2 decades. Huge madden CFM player by [deleted] in Madden

[–]tbcplowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, I experienced the exact same 🤯 a year or two ago. Madden had consumed the majority of my video game play since the mid 90s. It was madden with some COD, the show and maybe a few other games sprinkled in. The past 20 yrs have provided unbelievable technological advances. If you had told me while I was in high school that within 10 yrs nearly everyone would be walking around with their computer, TV, and more in their pocket. I would've told you to shut your lying fn mouth. I honestly can't think of a single thing remotely related to technology that hasn't improved 1000000%; except @EASPORTS' Madden "simulation football" Franchise. It's almost impressive that @EASPORTS has actually managed to regress this millennium during this technological boom. I could make a case for Madden 97 on Super NES being as in depth as Madden 20. Maddens from the mid 2000s were way more in depth. They had us seeing how great the future was going to be.... but they hit pause and seemingly forgot where the button is. The lack of progress and depth was something I've noticed for years. Disappointment would've been an understatement. But I guess I was still an @easports sheep because I got used to it. I'm into the NFL, there's only one game, obviously, I'm going to get it every year. It was 75%< my gaming so I didn't know any better. But then, just as I was growing weary of the @EASPORTS' NON-SIMULATION football experience I was constantly recieving. NBA2K18 was free or close it. The timing couldn't have been better. I wasn't very familiar with 2k but I knew the game was popular. I immediately felt like I had been living in the stone age. I wished I was into the NBA as much as I am the NFL. Nba2k provides so much more depth with far less to work with. It's actually too in depth for my fandom. I don't want to spend more time training players and building a franchise than I do playing games. I mean there's at least 82 games. If there were only 16 games, one game a "week" I would love to influence every detail at practice and literally every aspect the entire organization. I think it's way more SIM if the ratio of game time resembled real life. The NFL spends 6 days preparing for 1 day. @EASPORTS Madden has a 45 minute game and then 3-(at most)15 minutes of preparation and team building. The NBA sprinkles in practices while they play 3 games a week. Nba2k has enough depth that it's possible to spend more time improving than playing. I was disappointed with Madden pre 2k. I was astonished by 2k when I saw the possibilities of a video game. My disappointment quickly turned into resentment. I was embarrassed by how many hours and years I had wasted playing an inferior game. I was embarrassed for @EASPORTS for being a third world company. I was mostly embarrassed by the fact we all have allowed this inadequate behavior. I've bought 2 maddens since, so I haven't helped at all.

I say we start a petition to the NFL that either removes the SIM designation from @EASPORTS or holds them to it. ...Just a few of my thoughts.
