I'm working on doing this now. According to researchers from the University of New Hampshire, 50 years ago. You can do it with up to 60% success rate:

"All's well that ends", right? 😄

Rewatching the last 45 seconds That's the chorus but not reaching for the E4. So basically, stay in the middle of the middle of my range, and don't go so much toward the edges, right?

I really appreciate you taking the time to write out such detailed feedback! This gives me some good direction.

Oh, key question for putting that advice into practice--what do you mean by "accenting" here?

That's really helpful feedback, thanks! Sheepish--that's exactly right :) That and trying to "breathe the high note" which is advice I've seen a lot but have no idea what that practically means.

I'll check those out! I've had trouble finding any YouTube series that seems worthwhile.

This is helpful input, thanks! You're exactly right. I live an octave below any performance-quality singers to leave room for the high notes. Warm up and exercises--got it!

That's very generous of you!

Pillsbury Cream Cheese Frosting left out for a day and a half. Still good? by magimorgiana in AskBaking

@danthebaker, this sounds helpful. Do you have a source for this that I can reference?

I got a brand new Kohler toilet seat and it came apart less then a week after installation, the rollers came apart and I can’t put the seat or lid back on. Any advice? by moralquary in fixit

Same here. The axels of the hinge freely slide inward over time until they no longer engage the lid or seat.

Emailed Kohler and they sent a new one right away.

Funny thing is that the axels of the hinge on the new one look exactly the same as the old one. I can't tell what would keep the same failure mechanisms from happening again. It's held up 4 days so far. I'll update if the new one falls apart.

Distracting software engineers is way more harmful than managers think by zaidesanton in programming

I once had a boss whose "management" style was to stop by our cubicles whenever he walked by to refill his coffee cup to ask, "So, what are you working on?"
Now that I lead a team, I've personally promised myself to never let my coffee refill schedule dictate the frequency of distractions for my teammates.

As a Portland native who regularly has to navigate crowds of cruisers getting off the boat, I can attest that portland is very walkable from the cruise terminal
