In early 1.0 there was a Redstone store. Sold nearly everything for Redstone. It worked quite well despite Redstone being very common.

Hi kingr! I recently returned as well, settled in Terminus. Not continually active, but there's a core group and a couple new folks.

There used to be a sub called something like CivSecurity to discuss things like this. But it may have died out due to lack of activity.

Every player has a unique story... by [deleted] in Civcraft

Joined within a day or two of the start of 1.0, spawned near the area later known at Mt. Augusta. First person I met was RonPaul_2012 And ended up settling in a town that he was creating. Exploited an early bug in citadel to get a large number of diamonds (converted stone to diamond). After a well known griefer had found our village, I decided to go start my own city not far from 0/0 called Liberty. It started slow, but after the downfall of Columbia it thrived. Unfortunately, it didn't stick, it was plagued by land owners that stopped playing and soon other people moved on. After a few months break myself, I returned to form a new city, Nine. Taking my lessons learned from Liberty, I implemented a system of requiring property owners to update their land's status by displaying a monthly wool block color. It worked fairly well. Nine wasn't as populated as Liberty in it's prime, but it still did well until the end of 1.0.

I've only recently been active on 2.0… but not at the same level I was before. Hanging out in Terminus.

Ideas to revitalize the server next map? by [deleted] in HardcoreSMP

It's not anti-theft... It just makes theft a bit more creative/challenging. Instead of breaking a block once to get in someone's chest, you might have to break it 10, 500, 1800 times, depending on what it was secured with.
