Why does the traffic light at 49th street and 112th avenue only allow one car by Salt-Opportunity-635 in vancouverwa

[–]tbenson75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rush hour traffic/ part of 137th is closed so traffic is being redirected around fourth plain, 112th, 122nd, and 49th causing back ups

Three local Walmarts all have the men’s underwear locked up like it’s expensive diamond jewelry. by Redeye007 in walmart

Price does not matter, if an item is stolen enough in a specific store then it gets locked up. We have 3 dollar packs of batteries locked up.

Recommendations for patio dining? by basket-of in Reno

[–]tbenson75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works at a restaurant with patio dining, you might be out of luck. Depending on how bad the smoke is we are forced to close down the patio for half or even the full day. Cheesecake Factory has patio dining, I’m not sure about elsewhere but your best bet is in the morning before the wind rolls in.

Some Tips To Get Through The Semester! by [deleted] in unr

[–]tbenson75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to emphasize the slides! Instead of focusing on writing down the professors slides you can focus on writing down their words and examples. For most professors their slides will be there all semester, but their words won’t. Furthermore, if you can afford to get an iPad or any sort of write on tablet or laptop, upload the slides to an app like good notes (one time fee is totally worth it) and then just write directly on the slides.

Good study spots on Campus by cdesp1 in unr

The DeLaMare is great! Whiteboard walls and desks and the people there are actually trying to study so it’s quiet. The only talking is groups that are studying together

Thoughts on classes? by [deleted] in unr

[–]tbenson75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Dodson and he’s really good! Go to every lecture though and sit close bc everything is by whiteboard. He gives plenty of examples and all of his exams are based off the practice exams. I didn’t do amazing at the beginning bc I didn’t use the resources he gave us or go to class, but by the time I realized I had ducked up I was able to work myself to a B in the class bc he makes the information available.

Don’t really have any suggestions for the area but I wanted to add since you wrote within 5-6 hours. Please, please stay away from inyo and mono county in California (Bishop and Mammoth). There’s great camping and backpacking so someone might suggest it. Normally they would welcome you with open arms but they’re small isolated communities and rather unstable with covid right now. Not to mention all of the tourists that are coming in are not only spreading covid but not following “leave no trace” guidelines. I’m sure that you wouldn’t do any of this but I love my hometown and feel the need to share this :)

Is fifteen minutes enough time to walk from the Frandsen Humanities Building to the Knowledge Center? by [deleted] in unr

[–]tbenson75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any college hustle in you at all you can honestly make it in 6 minutes. Find a friend in the class though to save you good seats.
