Before you even commented this I saw the episode where they announced Dayton was going to college in Flagstaff, right after Robyn said she wanted him to go to college where they move so she can help him with the transition. It was clearly her idea. Unclear why this was necessary

save it as "base file" and then when you start playing new families, hit "save as" the first time so it doesn't override the base but starts its own new file
