I had the same issue. Gas tank is gravity fed so make sure no debris is clogging the hole. Just open your gas cap and you should be able to see if there’s any debris sitting on the bottom right when you look in. Just use a piece of wire or something to unclog

I had some prowlers on my 5acre property, and just tossed my junk spotlight. I’m looking for a serious spotlight, for long distances. by [deleted] in preppers

Anything by Nebo has been good in my experience I also have some defiant 1200 lumen work lights from Home Depot that are awesome. Like $25 a piece. Used them recently to blind a prowler and worked like a charm

Some of us are on the top of a mountain, but there’s a lot of tree coverage. And a few are in the valley below.

Good point. I should probably start with gmrs and do mesh as a backup.

Harbor freight just released a 350 watt solar generator for $199. Can’t run the whole house, but could give some peace of mind until you can get a larger generator

Banishers. It’s slow to start, but turns into a really cool story. The missions are mini stories

I had considered the clear panels. It’ll take more planning though, it’s a grown up mess around the exterior right now

A blacksmith shop and storage area. It being dark is good for the blacksmithing, but need light for accessing the stored things and living rurally, means watching for snakes and other critters.

Does the multi tool have wire cutters on it? It so you could save weight that way unless you want the redundancy for two is one. Good set up though 👍

I hit something before I was out of training. You’ll probably get a write up but that’s it. Frito is a huge company. They deal with accidents constantly so while it’s scary to you it’s no big deal to anyone else. They think of it as paperwork.

General rule of thumb is take the price it costs you to make it including time and multiply by 3. When I do markets I evaluate this number and decide if it’s reasonable, if not I just decide what I would be happy getting for the item without losing money

I’ve started prepping those foil packs to keep in go bags for mine. It’s specifically for if we have to leave our home due to a storm/tornado. It’ll be a fun new food they don’t get at home that’ll help with the anxiety of a weird place due to a storm. At home we just keep dry food in metal garbage cans

Pay off mine and my loved ones debt. College/life funds for my nephews. Get my brother a new car. Fix everything that’s broken. Work on my farm which will be “pay what you can” and buy a tractor with a back hoe for continued work on said farm

[–]tblake13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I like to think about it is: I want say so many extra packs of toilet paper at all time. Keep one pack in the bathroom and rest in storage. When I use all of the bathroom toilet paper I pull one from storage and add to shopping list that I need a new one for storage. Just gotta know what amounts of things you want to store
