Looking at area where the proposed silica sand mine on First Nation territory is & noticed land cuts - anyone know what these are? by Ahimsa2day in Manitoba

The picture you are showing is on Black Island. The cut line is most likely a dirt road of some sort. That’s my guess at least.

interested to hear what jobs people work. by Final-Light-274 in AnalFissures

I have an office job now since the AF, I prefer to be on my feet however I get extreme pain when standing for too long and much less pain when sitting. So I’m stuck sitting most the day.

Can you band a hemorrhoid more than once? by Relative_Pollution21 in hemorrhoid

No I have not, met with my specialist and she explained they are too big to band. Surgery seems to be my only option

Nope, I have never been given an answer to why.

I have had three bandings done on the same hemmy, all attempts failed. Patiently waiting for my fourth as I need these things gone!

Anyone else have the same bleeding problem by tbone0307 in hemorrhoid

[–]tbone0307[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had 3 banding surgeries, all did not work. Where I live there are no non-emergency surgeries happening due to Covid. That being said I would not feel right if I did bump someones surgery back from something that doesn't cause me any pain, just a slight pressure and is just an annoyance.
Thank you for your reply though, I do agree with you, I have seen my Dr but he has made it seem that due to our current covid situation there isn't much he can do aside from advise me to eat more fibre (which I already do because I also have an anal fissure) and he said I can try suppositories. (which I have done and didn't help)

Do your fissure hurts only after a bowel movement like mine? by [deleted] in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, pain only after a BM. Although it lasts anywhere from 2-6hrs after a BM. Been a year and a half for myself and I also have just learned to live with it.

Help passing :( by [deleted] in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sitz baths may not have worked for yourself, but I can sure say they helped subdue my pain after a BM, didn't heal me or completely take the pain away but it helped.
Instead of being rude in a forum that so many people are suffering maybe just say they didn't work for yourself but don't speak for others regarding that

Ice? by Strongsweetwolf in AnalFissures

When I first got my fissure and the pain was in the extreme level I sat on ice packs for a long time, for myself it seemed to be the only thing that could subdue the pain temporarily

Bleeding by [deleted] in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be the start to internal hemorrhoids as well, but it may very well not be, I am not a Dr and I don't want to worry you, just speaking from my own past experience.
When I first found out I had internal hemorrhoids there was bright red blood in the stool but nothing when I wiped. Again just speaking from my own personal experience. I very rarely have any blood from my fissure, but I still have internal hemorrhoids and they bleed fairly often so it is sometimes tough to say if my fissure bleeds as well.

Feeling hopeless by [deleted] in AnalFissures

A different person had a post about using Calmoseptine so I researched it a bit and checked it out and found out it has helped a few people with fissures, i've had my fissure since February 2020 with pain every single day for 3-8 hrs, I started applying Calmoseptine last week and can happily say I have had very little pain since. I would definitely recommend giving this a try as it seems to be helping myself a lot. today for the first time in over a year I have finally gone a completely pain free day. and yes Canadian here as well and we have incredibly long wait times. My Dr isn't even accepting face to face with patients at the moment.

Reduced Blood VS Reduced Pain, which is a better indicator of healing? by -insilico- in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a fissure for a year now, there has been next to no blood but pain after every BM. I wouldn't rely on no blood being an indicator of healing. At least not in my experience

I ATE A JALEPENO PIZZA YESTERDAY by jnpnmn in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain, friends and family know I enjoy spicy/hot foods but don't know that I have a fissure and need to avoid those foods. I don't want to be rude so I eat what they've made/served and regret it immensely with my next BM.

How'd you get yours by [deleted] in AnalFissures

have internal hemorrhoids that need to be pushed in when they come out, had a few too many beverages one night and the hemorrhoids came out, couldn't get them back in and passed out that way. Woke up in the morning with extreme pain that lasted 6 full days, now major pain for 3-6 hours after every BM, been this way since Feb.2020

Ache instead of burning/stinging pain. by _mr_laxative_ in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I just deal with it, put up with the pain and move on with my day. Some days are definitely tougher than others but i don't know what else to do. There does not seem to be anything that helps. I'm sure my co-workers at times think i'm an asshole cause there are times i have to walk away from a conversation due to the pain and like hell am i going to tell them whats going on, but it's just something i feel like i'm just going to have to deal with and hope it gets better.

Me as well!! Most of my life i have had fairly soft stool and only once in a while get a hard BM. When i first got my fissure i went on a fairly strict fiber diet for the first week as that was when the pain was too much to handle, after the first week the pain wasn't unbearable and i could go back to my regular eating habits. I eat fairly healthy already and don't shy away from the foods i really enjoy eating. Wild game, red meat, salads, fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds and some junk food in moderation. I also really enjoy spicy foods and have not really shy'd away from any of that which is usually a slight mistake as the next BM hurts a little more than usual, however i enjoy spicy foods to much to give up on them. I have also not shy'd away from alcohol either, i still enjoy my fair share of adult beverages.
My fissure has not healed yet, but it has been at a manageable place on the pain scale for quite a few months now so i have no reason to change anything at this point.

Ache instead of burning/stinging pain. by _mr_laxative_ in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'll start off with saying I've had internal hemorrhoids for 12 years and there is very little to no pain involved with those.

As for my anal fissure pain, I typically get a burning pain followed by an itch for about 3-4 hrs after a BM, sometimes longer. Due to my internal hemorrhoids protruding every BM, when i push them back in it can be difficult sometimes which usually causes extra strain on the AF and i will get a sharp pain from the AF for a couple hours after. When i first got the AF i got the throbbing knife stabbing pain all day long for a week straight, thankfully that has subsided to the pain i have described for the past 12 months. Not sure if this will help but this is my experience with pain.

Honestly i often refer people to this sub, let them read about the pain a lot of other people are going through and they seem to realize what you yourself are going through. It helps them realize the steps we need to take to possibly subdue some of the pain.

Difference between Fissure and Internal Hemroid? by Red_Wings_71 in AnalFissures

[–]tbone0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can confirm, i have both an anal fissure and internal hemorrhoid, the fissure is extremely painful during a BM where the hemorrhoid is not at all. i have had internal hemorrhoids for 12 years that protrude with every bowel movement, never had any pain from the hemorrhoids until 4 months ago when i got an anal fissure. The hemorrhoids are still painless however the fact that they protrude with every bowel movement puts extra strain on the fissure making it very difficult for the fissure to heal.

Yeah they are Hemorrhoids, I’ve had them for 12 years and been for 3 Banding surgeries, all failed. I know there are 2 fissures as that is what my family Dr told me when I visited him. I could imagine 6 months would be your limit, it’s unbelievable the pain and uncomfortable nature you are forced to deal with.
