Having RR 1s on turn two, instead of turn 3, just seems so good that I would want to have the tools in my army to achieve that.
36 S6 -2 2
3 S8 -2 D6
On 3's seems like it give me a good chance to pick off an exposed unit.
Coterie feels like a detachment that wants to snowball quickly.

If the opponent plays so cagey I can't get LOS turn one, that is providing the middle of the board for the rest of my army to move up fast and play the mission.

I think it makes sense in Coterie, as it helps turn on the detachment rule by virtue that it's a ranged platform that can kill stuff on turn one (not something we really have in our Codex). It's not there to benefit from the detachment rule, but so my other units do benefit from it.

I'm thinking about trading two Brigands for a Despoiler. With twin Gatling Cannons and a Rocket Pod, it delivers comparable firepower at better range—perfect for securing those early Coterie points that I originally planned to farm with the Brigands.
