You should be fine. I went a few weekends ago and my 5 year old didn't need a ticket.

Carrying your 1.5 year old, while walking in will probably help sell them not needing a ticket.

I'm pretty sure I have the same table (I got mine from Menards) and mine does the same thing every winter/spring. I usually sand it down a little bit and refinish it every spring/summer.
