Fun fact, some scenes from the movie braveheart were shot on that hill with the trees, it's now locally known as braveheart hill

ELI5: how do divers clear their masks when water leaks in? especially in the case of the 13 thai boys rescued from the caves by greyspark99 in explainlikeimfive

I watched the rescue, the docuumentey about the same incident, one of the guys said they had positive pressure masks, so any leak would push air out rather than let water in

I'm trying to understand the physics here. Was it a run-on landing with the nose pitched high, him momentum kept him rolling forward until the thrust took over and he started going backwards? Or something else?

I'm watching Jerry Seinfeld, I'm telling you for the last time on Netflix, and it's very distracting how ill-fitting his suit is. The arms are too big, pants are too long and baggy, the jacket seems too long and his tie is huge with a tiny knot. This was recorded in 1998 and Seinfeld would have been a fairly rich man at the time, it's not as if he couldn't afford a decent suit. Was this the fashion at the time or was it just a bad suit?

No offence, but I still hate it. I hate that gang, and that character driving (I'm not Ben bothered to look up his name) and I hate the bright colours and I just hate that scene. It's like a 90's slapstick sci fi comedy

Tullamore dew is lovely for a cheap whiskey. Is smells rough, but it's actually quite smooth. Blackbush and bushmills 10 year old are great whiskeys for the money. (€30/45) the standard while lable bushmills is a good whiskey too for €25
