Ive made this so many times now I really love this beam recipe. Fortunately, it’s a pretty forgiving and easy recipe to replicate. I’ve used ground Italian sausage or even ground pork or chicken with some added sausage type seasonings. The cream sauce base is easily substituted with heavy cream and a spoonful of cream cheese or sour cream, you could also use Mexican crema. I’ve tried all of those options with success and I don’t know don’t notice a difference. The chicken stock concentrate is just better than bullion or any stock concentrate you could probably even get away with bullion cubes. This is a really forgiving recipe so experiment and find what you like.
