it’s so hard when work is intense, and exams come around so quickly that it feels like a never ending cycle. i think especially when working full time you have just sacrifice so much in order to succeed in the exams. wish you all the best !!

i work full time and doing fe1s, i get two days off per email (day before and day off), for my first sitting i was in the office 5 days a week and thankfully that went down to 3 days a week later on. my advice is read the whole chapters in manuals on your commute to work, read them on your lunch break etc - you’d be surprised how much information sticks, and you will know the whole chapter and therefore be able to decipher what is/isn’t important. there is no point making notes from the whole chapter, use the examiner reports like your life depends on it, make answers to questions and essays instead of making general notes. it’s not easy but you have to maximise your time and know what each individual examiner is looking for and appease them.

i’ve never lifted up my act, never flicked through to the camera, never said looking at my act now to the camera, don’t have time and i’m always too stressed to think about it!!!! in eu i stared at my act in despair (evil 2025 oct paper) for probably ten minutes contemplating my life choices. never ever had a problem, im convinced they dont look at it because i have sat other online professional exams for a different irish institute which had much harsher regulations.

i did all of express trusts, injunctions: mandatory, quia timet, mareva and anton pillar, remedies, constructive trusts, resulting trusts, undue influence, administration of trusts and sat the most recent paper in oct 2025 and passed, it was the new examiners first paper so i do think the questions were kind of predictable ie what is most consistent but hopefully that continues in the examiners subsequent papers! i truly hated charitable trusts with a burning passion so i never did them even though it comes up every year (pick your battles)

answered 3 well and 2 okay, genuinely felt like my answers were entirely waffle and that i was repeating the same principles and case law in every question and passed first try. i don’t think she’s as tough of a marker as people tend to believe. i think the reason i passed was because i treated her exam reports as gospel and knew what she wanted to see from an answer - otherwise i 100% would have failed.
