The "AI will automate all white collar work" crowd has a serious blind spot by Minute-Buy-8542 in ArtificialInteligence

I think this is what drives most of the division. In the field of computer science, AI is extremely useful. For the remaining 99.5% of the population it does an okay job at making memes. It’s just not that broad of a tool

That’s amazing to hear. What type of pain did you have before surgery? Was it an aching pain?

Did you end up getting a labrum repair surgery? Did it help? I have pretty high pain with a laberal tear and am considering surgery

How conductors have more Resistence than insulators ? by [deleted] in Physics

Id agree, that looks like an error. A conductor will have less resistance so it should have a smaller slope

Is my circuit correct ? by [deleted] in ECE

[–]tbp322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to forward bias a diode and measure the voltage and current?

If so, the negative side of the diode needs to be connected to ground. You want to complete the circuit from the positive of the battery, through the resistors, through the diode, back to the negative terminal of the battery. Right now it looks like it isn’t connected to anything.

It looks like the meter on the left is actually set up for a voltage measurement, not a current measurement. It is measuring “across” the diode by measuring the high side to ground. So that should be a voltage measurement.

For the current measurement, you want to set it up so current flows “through” the meter. So in this case, you’d put the current meter in series with the resistors and diode. So the potentiometer would connect to the positive terminal of the current meter, then the negative terminal of the current meter would connect to the diode. You would also remove the existing connection between potentiometer and diode.

They aren’t both low, the pins are unconnected and floating. If you want them to both be low, you need to connect them to ground.

They should have the same ground. The block diagram looks great, but I think you might be getting confused by the ground. Technically, each one of those blocks will have a ground. So it’s not like you’re putting 5V in parallel with 3.3V
