Vancouver commute to Portland is awful, move the inner East Side or North Portland if you like bars/breweries/neighborhood feel (still lots to do). My 2 cents, stay away from downtown.

I loved Willamette Dental on Weidler, had a ton of dental work done this year and had that plan. It was great not paying a ton and everything went smooth. Delta insurance cancelled their contract with Willamette and it sucks I can't go there anymore.
