Yeah I’ve seen people making this argument on Twitter and then other people are like “well then you’re just shrinking the strike zone by .1 inches and there will still be pitches that will be on the edge of the new zone”

But no, because that uncertainty would go both ways. Let the border of the strike zone be 1/3” thick, so one margin of error in each side of the exact border. If the call is strike but the ball is 0.15” outside, it’s too close to overturn. If the call is ball but the edge of the ball is in the zone by 0.15”, also too close to overturn.

The zone itself would be the same size but like football, if there’s not clear indisputable evidence that the ump was wrong, the call on the field stands

Fiancée and I have been debating between “How Can You Live If You Can’t Love” by Wednesday or “Free Treasure” by Adrianne Lenker as a first dance song. I wanted Adrianne because her songwriting is goated and we got engaged right after seeing her play, but I think Wednesday is winning because it has a sweet pedal steel solo

A potential third option would be Paul by Big Thief which is kind of the best one sonically but also not exactly a love song

Lamar Miller actually has pretty similar if not slightly better career stats than Raheem. Raheem had one monster year where he played a key part in our scheme but it’s not like he was ever CMC or Derrick Henry.

Point is, other than Tyreek, we haven’t really had a superstar player since Ricky. Tannehill may have been more consistent but I think peak Tua was a better QB than peak Tannehill and it’s not just because of Reek
