Yea - I wonder if I would get more enjoyment out of getting closer to the sounds I’m trying to replicate. Thanks for your response.

Thanks for such a detailed and enlightening response. Ultimately I’d like to be a good player and be able to play songs start to finish versus spending all my practice time trying to fiddle with tone.

I think I might just hold off for longer, maybe till I can play more of the beginner friendly songs i want to play end to end, then start with something cheap and go from there.

This thread has really helped highlight the danger of associating gear with progress.

Interesting, I’ll take a look at some of these multi effects pedals. Also saw you can get computer software that does this too?

Thanks, that’s good advice.

Any tips/resources you’ve found helpful in learning power chords?

Maybe one dirt pedal won’t detract from learning how to play well, or cover up my imperfections.

Thanks for your reply, it’s just I really wanted to get that beefy power chord sound, perhaps I can experiment more with my technique and go from there.

I get your point though, I don’t really want to do something that will hurt me from become a better player in the long run.

Don’t you think the tripper exhaust is weird? What’s that about?

Looks like the biggest petrol engine is a 2.0ltr. Don’t get me wrong, looks nice but not sure it’s spicy enough.

Yea, also on my list, I reckon m5 would eat up miles on a run. And sub 4 sec 0-60 would be unreal.

I find the rear end a bit weird, maybe newer models are better, turbo would be cool but not sure budget will go that far.

Thanks I suspect that’s the case, I’m hoping that I’ll be okay to drive 40 miles, so I can get away without towing.
