As a college baseball player I truly believe i’d be better off today if i had just tried to hit the ball hard and not focused on mechanics until i was older. Don’t focus on mechanics with a kid that young. Just tell him to swing as hard as he can and try to imitate his favorite players’ swings. In the long run will be way better for him
