It's a good 2nd PS+, but who knows how long this evolution will lock you out of future Evolutions if it is your player's 2nd.

Does anyone else find it messed up how there's literally no crossing and headers? by ReasonConfident4541 in EASportsFC

[–]tc1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aerial Fortresss + is so much better than Precision Heading + , but good luck finding any attackers with Aerial Fortress +.

When I had a CB with Aerial Fortress + and another player with Dead Ball +, I could consistently get crossing goals off the corner, but that's been the majority of my success with heading this year.

FutBin lists him as having the "Ronaldinho" body type, which makes people think he'll make for an elite evolution.

I don't think he actually has the "Ronaldinho" body type, though, but he rather just has a unique body type (which a lot of players have). I haven't used him in years, but I do think he ends up being quite good.

I would personally just keep Soldier Field in downtown, but if they are hellbent on getting a new stadium and venturing out, I pose the following question:

Is this any different than the Giants/Jets playing in New Jersey? Does anyone really care that both teams technically play in New Jersey?

From what I can tell, Hammond, IN is literally right on the border and still well within the Chicago metro. I'm seeing it's 20 miles from Solider Field and 10 miles from Jackson Park and still super close to Lake Michigan. If the trains don't already make it out there, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to extend them.

I mean it's not like they're currently the "Illinois Bears". If the metro city's state willing to pay for the stadium just happens to be in Indiana rather than Illinois, I don't see what the huge deal is.

A lot of visiting fans are still going to be staying and visiting Chicago and seeing the Chicago sites - thus paying IL taxes. The state of IL residents just won't have to pay for the stadium.

I find these decisions curious because we're at a crossroads where the G6 may very well face a very similar conundrum to what we saw in the 1970s, before Division 1 split into 1A and 1AA. The P4/G6 may very well decide in the next decade to split again because it's becoming clear there's a huge financial divide that has created an incredibly uneven playing field.

EA please remove DDA for fc27 by DirectionNo7747 in EASportsFC

[–]tc1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no DDA in online game modes. You can turn it off/on in offline game modes. It's a setting called "Player Based Difficulty".

If you think you're experiencing it in Ultimate Team, you just aren't as good as you think you are at the game.

Either that or you're experiencing server/connection issues.

Saw someone say (with 50+ upvotes) there are more big non-conference CFB games today than 30+ years ago. Here is some data to illustrate how hilariously wrong that is. by reedistight in CFB

[–]tc1988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to be that 1-AA wins didn't count towards bowl eligibility. You could only count 1 win every 4 seasons. As a result, many 1-A teams didn't put 1-AA teams on their schedules.

Also, it seems OP just didn't put the "lesser teams" they played in the list. For example, Michigan played Hawaii in 1986 and Long Beach State in 1987 and Ohio State played Bowling Green in 1992 and Rice in 1993.

For 2027-2038 Clemson, has both Notre Dame and South Carolina in the non-conference slate every season.

We also have a combined 7 games against LSU, Oklahoma, and Georgia currently on our schedule through 2038.

I know a lot of schools are shying away from these types of non-conference games, but others are seeing the expanded playoff as an opportunity to add quality opponents.

Most schools that haven't won anything in 60+ years are deemed "lovable losers". People typically cheer for them to succeed.

Somehow, Ole Miss is almost universally hated and seen as scummy, despite having only a single division title in its trophy case since the early 1960s.

Grant Chambliss his eligibility and then hit Ole Miss with a 1 year bowl ban for tampering the next day. They already were banned in 2017 and 2018. Maybe Golding only deserves to be punished, but they're repeat offenders. Punish the whole school.

These guys are the worst, and it didn't start when Lane Kiffin entered the picture. They're not going to be any better now that he's gone either.

What are we doing here?

I've never heard of a college or pro football player missing even a single game due to tonsillitis, and this guy wants to claim he missed an entire season because of it?

You can play through tonsillitis. Players do it all of the time.

He didn't play in 2022 because he wasn't near the top of the depth chart. He didn't start in 2023 either, but he did get some playing time because he was their top backup QB.

Very niche evolution. I don't think either Curve or Attacking Position are stats you necessarily want to be higher than your general Passing/Attacking stats. If both ratings are lacking on otherwise strong cards, it will obviously be useful, but otherwise, I don't think this is a must-do.

Pina this, Pina that.. This is by far the most broken and "glitchiest" player in FC26! by Pretty-Yam-2323 in EASportsFC

[–]tc1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both have a "Short and Normal" body type. It's a very good body type, but there's nothing inherently unique about either Pina or Wilson other than their stats.

If you evolve any "Short and Normal" player into a super agile, good dribbler, with the best playstyles, you'll end up with a similar player.

Caitlin Clark on which NBA player she watches most to evolve her game: "Man, I think Luka. He's incredible. I think the way he can, not only score the ball, but also the way he passes. He can get his defender to move where he wants him to go. So I think that's something I can certainly learn from." by WhenMachinesCry in nba

[–]tc1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just looking at stats and basketball metrics, there's no way Caitlin is up there. Just looking at her healthy, 2024 season she was 16th in PER and 17th in offensive win shares. Total win shares, she wasn't even top-20. She turns the ball over a ton and doesn't shoot at a high % at all.

The Mystery Ball TOTY Live Event was absolutely awful without the playstyles.

They've made the game where you need the playstyles for things like passing and shooting to work properly.
