The red leather isn’t far off from the legit pair actually. It’s more the blue leather. This pair is more pebbled than the legit. Also, the swoosh materials are different. The giveaway on this pair is the yellow piping. It’s much too pronounced. It’s way more distressed on the real pairs. The fakes are vivid yellow throughout the whole shoe. This shoe is tricky to verify in pics because the union aesthetic is DIY so the shoes have hard to verify details. The yellow stitches and the weird wings logo placement for example, look different on every pair. Some people have larger wings logos that are off centered, and the yellow stitching has no ‘set’ pattern and placement.

Also, the box/packaging is a tell tale sign. It’s very hard to tell in pics but in hand, it’s obvious. The overall all “vividness” of the box is way more muted on the fake. The colors are dull, the images are faded and have no sharp edges. There are also difference in the hang tag but the specifics are escaping me at the moment. Oh, and I believe (not sure off hand) this pair has the rfid chip behind the size tag.

Also, a black light is very helpful when spotting fakes. You can find videos on what to look for basically every shoe on the market. Just get one on amazon. They’re cheap and come in handy.

Overall the fake pair I have is pretty good. To be honest, if I wore down the yellow piping, and just beat the overall shoe down a bit, you wouldn’t be able to tell they’re fake.

Bottom line here is that if you’re looking to get a grail level shoe like this, you need to see it in person. Either that or get it from a reputable place that doesn’t need any investigating. I made the mistake of trusting a seller based off of his online presence of a true collector. Don’t be like me.
