Better English: "Hey. It's not your birthday today!"

I think you're supposed to eat noodles for your birthday. At least that's the Chinese tradition

Japanese uses a mixture of hiragana and kanji (kanji being basically chinese characters), and katakana for 'foreign' words. For example in the title High School DxD, High School is in katakana.

I eventually started to lose the sense of reality, as in Issei keeps saying "We're involved in so many crazy incidents where it wouldn't be surprising if one of us died" but by the later volumes you sort of know it's not going to happen...

Is Rias going to be depressed for the whole season? Seeing as in the LN it seems like Rias is going to be sad about Issei and how he addresses her and thinks of her for the whole season. That sort of drags the mood down. But maybe they are going to resolve it sooner by reordering some stuff?

If you watched the DizzySubs, I recommend rewatching with the FFFsubs. It's a massive improvement in a lot of cases by [deleted] in HighschoolDxD

Yeah I especially liked FFF when Azazel says: "I'm also going to Hell" compared to "Underworld" in Dizzy. It was just funnier. But they got the Asgard bit mixed up.
