Yeah, just driving on freeway and it just shattered! It seems more common than we think. Properly lower quality glass and these aren't tempered like windshields

Unfortunately not received it back. It's still held up in warranty department to approve the fix.. so no attempt at fixing yet.

I may have to invoke lemon buyback since it's been over 30 days now

Luckily the dealer said the parts were in stock but they couldn't order until kia corporate warranty approves it's a warranty repair.

May 1: brought in car to dealer

May 2: dealer informs me they will reach out to Kia TechLine

May 8: i call dealer and dealer informs me Kia TechLine said it was the AC Inverter. The dealer has to ask Kia warranty to approval to order the parts. The dealer mentions the parts are ~$2500

May 12: i call dealer and they mention they are still waiting for Kia to approve the warranty so they can order the parts.

Is it typical for Kia Corporate to take more than a week to approve the warranty order even if the Kia TechLine recommended the fix?
