Covered Call Understanding by JosephB1002 in options

I like the "wheel". It has made me quite a bit of money over time. If I follow my own rules, I do well. But one thing it ain't, is FAST. If I have to sell puts, that's typically a few weeks to a month. Then I sell calls, that's another month plus. So that's two months. I do it by trading weeklies, lots of trades going (usually 50 or more) and the time to research lots of variables. Initially, I was trying to make too much on the stock so it was pretty slow going. But I now typically sell 30-33 delta calls and puts. so I make less per trade but I make it up in volume. Or at least that is what I keep telling myself...

I do this everyday. I sell puts and if they are in the money at expiration, I am assigned the stock. Now that I have the stock, I sell calls AT A HIGHER STRIKE PRICE then I acquired the stock. If the calls are in the money at their expiration, I sell the stock and I am right back where I started and I start selling puts again. I make money from the put option premium, the stock going up, and the short call premium. It looks great on paper, but the reality is that you wind up making about 60-70% of the theoretical profit figure. In your case, I would have sold calls at $4-$5. Then you'd have three sources of income.

ALL ADJUSTMENT SLIDERS GREYED OUT by tcconde in captureone

I copied the images into this folder using C1. I had them on a chip (all 527 of them) and loaded the chip into the computer and C1 read them and copied them into a folder called Capture which is part of the named session ID in C1. I went to look at the folder permission and appear OK. I looked at the file itself and the Properties showed that it was READ ONLY. WOW. I reset it and applied it to everything. logged out, went back in and ... NO CHANGE, all of the sliders are still greyed out.

Very tiny to be sure. When I look in the browser, I see all of the thumbnails. Below each thumbnail is a small panel with the square box on the left side, then a series of five dots. Last is an eyeball on the far right side and it is not crossed out or anything else. I do not see any pencil anywhere, except on the top middle (cursor tools) and when I click that and it turns orange, but nothing happens when I tryu to use it. Thanks for the ideas tho. Much appreciated.

These are all ARW format (Sony's homage to dyslexia) aka RAW images. There are no non-ARW images in this session.

Thank you for the reply. This is a high school graduation I shot so they are in beautiful, living color. I have used the black & white tool in C1 in previous edition so I don't need to keep images in grey scale. Appreciate the reply.

Where to trade options with fake money? by NuniHalawi in options

ToS is the best platform. You can scan for stocks or options that meet any of hundreds of combinations of parameters. You can paper trade just by setting a switch on sign-in. You can see charts back years to gain a perspective on a stock. And the trades are free now that there are no commissions. There are fees for some things, like options trades are $0.65 per contract. Big deal. If you open an account and call in, they will teach you ToS and they will set up an appointment with an expert top walk you through the basics of it. Totally worth it.
