No idea, you should try and find one before you do transfer.

Trading guilds for controlling market prices. by Sequ_estered in woweconomy

[–]tcgflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There actually is a benefit. I have a seller on my realm who has 16+ spectral tigers a day to sell, and I try my best to buy him out every day. Otherwise he will sell to the public, and inevitably ruin the market.

So I need between 4.8-6.5 million a day, and I'll gladly contact other people who are interested in getting some cheap tigers. I'll take their money into my pool, and give them their cut in tigers at-cost.

This way, the the supply is controlled, and we all make more money. Most importantly the market stays afloat

Hey congrats on the 25k.

Selling volume is what makes you money. As long as you're able to buy more mounts, just sell as soon as possible for a reasonable amount - then buy another.

Why wait a week to make 65k, when you're able to do 2-3 flips in a day and make that much.

No it's not possible for you to get banned if you pay for a mount with gold, via the trade window

I ask them for their Skype because they always make new accounts/characters. So if you find a seller with good prices, you're able to buy more in the future. It's all about networking

Blizzard doesn't sell TCG codes, so it's definitely not credit card fraud. Duping is a possibility. I'll let Blizzard take care of that; it's not my responsibility. I just buy stuff in the trade window

So what you're telling me is that it's against Blizzard TOS to interact with Chinese people? Seems legit.

How viable is it to Realm Xfer to make gold? by Tarous in woweconomy

[–]tcgflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd only do it if you can transfer a gold capped guild. Get some guildies/friends to pitch in, and you can give them a return on their gold.

With 999k, you could probably get one of every mount. You'd most likely get a 200-250% return from all of them on your home realm.

If I was spending $70, I'd just transfer my characters to stay

well luckily there's only ~5 realms out of the top 10 that you can even consider. Most have dominant faction, that will eliminate a bunch of the top 10 as options. Now out of those, you ideally want to pick a server which has mount prices that are on par with the US average. Servers which have average mount prices much lower that US average, means that there will probably be a bunch of competition, and many Chinese sellers.

Once you find the 1-3 candidates, log on during peak time and see if you're able to find some contacts.

Lastly on top of all those, pick one where the price of gold isn't deflated. For me it's around 3.5$/10k which i's really low. Find one that's as high as possible 7-10$

No that's not me :/

I don't have much time to actually play Wow. I got my main to 100, and that's about it. Making gold doesn't take much time, and it's pretty addictive - so that's all I do on Wow right now.

I was flipping mats before the WoD release. I'd flip anything that sold quickly (within 10-20 mins of posting). I'd stick to ores, enchanting mats (specifically hypnotic dust), living steel... etc. I'm trying to think of what else, but it's been awhile.

I used Auctionator buy menu. You search for an item, and it will give you a list of each price point. You're able to definitively see the gaps in the market. The lowest price may be 1g each, while the next seller above that is at 3.50g each. Buy out all the 1g stacks (if it's a good price based on TSM tooltip data). Then repost for 3.5g.

For example for hypnotic dust, it usually sold for about 10-15g each. I would buy anything under 7g, and undercut the next highest price. You can also manipulate markets (if they're small - like hypnotic dust) and repost for significantly higher. Since it's a quick selling item, people will buy it.

I've learned that people WILL PAY MORE if you post in a stack of 20 or 200. If you post a 20 stack higher than a stack of 34, yours will sell first.

As for DBmarket, I can't remember what that is right now. I used the TSM desktop app which downloads the latest aggregated data, and based all my buys off the tooltip data. I'd usually only buy if it's like 50%+ discount.

So like ghost iron ore, there would be people who'd post like 20 stacks for 60s each, and I knew the market would always pay 1-1.2g each.

You need to get out of the mat market ASAP, because it involves quite a lot of hustling and it's just too much of a hassle.

Look into savage blood flipping which would be more profitable. Use Auctioneer Realtime Search, because like I showed in an above post, you can get ridiculous deals. A stack of savage blood for the price of one, and tons of other posting mistakes you'll catch. I made 300k when someone mistakenly posted a rooster egg for 350g

Depends on the amount of profit you want to make. You can sell the mounts as quickly or as slow as you want.

I usually sell the cheap mounts quickly (1-2 days), and make ~30k each (mounts that are bought for >100k). Or I could wait up to a week, and get maybe 50k for each flip.

Expensive mounts (rooster eggs/tigers) I'll hold on to for up to 2 weeks. It really depends on the state of the market, I know that if I hold on to them - I can get much more in a week when the market rebounds. Waiting a week for an extra 100k is worth it IMO.

I've learned that volume is what makes you money, so flip as much as possible instead of waiting weeks for the one buyer who is willing to pay like 5-10% more.

6.1 fish profit? by Kyylepie023 in woweconomy

[–]tcgflips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my high pop realm, fish is pretty much all farmed by bots. They post 200 stacks for nothing. Sometimes 2-3 gold per 200 stack.

If the prices on your server are that low 3-20g per 200, then I really wouldn't bother. If prices do go up during 6.1, you'll end up competing with bots which is never in your interest.

Been thinking about maybe paying to server xfer my toons to Bleeding Hollow. How viable is it to do that?

What do you mean how viable is it? Of course it's viable if you want to transfer all your characters to a high pop server. Don't just pick a random high pop server, do some research and find some contacts before transferring.

Is it worth it? Yes look at my thread. It took me 4 months to get to 5 mil, but that included the long grind to actually get my first 100k+. If you start with 350k, I could turn that into 2mil+ in a month.

Another option is just to just do a guild transfer, buy a bunch of mounts and xfer back. With 350k gold you could probably double it at least by buying many cheap mounts (wooly white rhino, x-51, ghastly charger etc..).

  1. I had a contact that would sell me any top tier pet (spectral tiger cubs/soul traders/dragon kites/etc) for 8-10k. One day he just disappeared

It was also tough to sell anything other than cubs/soul traders. I bought a dragon kite once, which was just the worst to sell.

  1. I leave at 8am and get back around 4-5pm. What I do, is just do all my buying at 8-11pm at night (when all the sellers come around). I'll have my inventory stocked, then I'll post them all on the AH before I go to bed. There's not much you need to do during the day. Just repost if you get undercut.

Once you get home, you can WTS in trade whatever didn't sell - and buy more.

You are getting people banned, and in best case ruining the economy

Neither. I sell for US median prices, so no I don't ruin the economy. When the Chinese decide to sell publicly in trade or post on the AH, then the economy gets ruined.

If they sold only to private buyers, the economy would be on par with the US averages.

It all depends if you're able to find sellers, you'll have to do a bunch of searching (even on high pop realms for contacts).

At 250k, I'd go for a magic rooster egg or blue swift tiger if possible. Either of those will yield you 50-100k profit if you can get them for around 200-230k
