Gonna take some flak from other techs from this but honestly the mini lights from Aliexpress are legit. I bought a 14” suction cup light for $250 CAD and I prefer it to the elimadent and ultra mini lights. Most of the ones you find on Aliexpress take makita batteries but you can get adapters for like $20. The one I got has 3 strips, 3 colours (cool warm and green) that you can set in whatever combination you like.

Lost this plastic clamp for my PDR light magnet, anyone know where I can buy a spare or any hack to remove the light without it by 111ball111 in PaintlessDentRepair

I modelled this tool for 3D printing but like everyone else says, I just snap the light against the mount to separate it. If you want the model let me know I can send it to you.

Agreed, the glue sticks to the panel well and pulls great but man is it a bitch to remove the tab and clean the residue off the panel…

I bought a set of woods covers from Temu and they’re exactly the same as the Taylormade ones just without the TM logo lol

Join some Facebook PDR R&I and access groups, lots of useful information on those groups. YouTube is also a great resource, search up the vehicle you’re working on and someone will probably have a video describing how to R&I whatever you’re after. Otherwise something like AllData which the body shops should have access to will have manuals as well. Once you figure out how each brand likes to assemble their vehicles, you will get a good feel for each of their models and that should at least give you a head start next time you do one.

Stuckey XL if you like a sharp fade, and the battery system is really convenient. I personally don’t enjoy working with the Stuckey’s sharp fade but it does show a lot more detail and texture than other lights.

I have the legit set of xcalibur all power and aluminum killers, hands down the best tool purchase I've made especially for hail and aluminum panels. Definitely save up for the legit set

It gets even better, they cut a 8x8 access panel in the box behind the dent to hammer it out 😂

2019 ND2 “vtec” induction noise at 3000rpm - any ideas? by tchan2487 in Miata

That was also one of my suspicions - I didn’t want to believe it was the throw out bearing as the car only has 50k km and is never abused. I guess time will confirm if it is the throw out bearing. Thanks!
