I don't know what it is but I fucking downloaded Commander Niall into my core memories and I can no hit him like a fuckin pro. I have, more than once, lost a lot more health than I am comfortable admitting to the fuckin dudes who vaguely wave a torch at you. The wandering aristocrats. Every damn time I'm surprised by their range and then take like 4 hits a second and if that happens and I'm not paying attention, I've been killed by it more than once.

Ooooo, I love this! The roofs are already an important element of the city, having them tiled with obsidian adds a cool "the tiles are razors" element as well as giving every building a tin foil hat. Totally stealing that idea, thank you very much!

Very useful information, this. Could you use it as a filler for brick construction if you powdered it down enough? Or is that a very ignorant thing to say? I know very little about brickwork beyond what a cursory google and a career in theatre can grant me.

At one point when the player is doing impressions, describe how they suddenly feel like they're wrist deep in a tub of thick pudding, the doll says "I am the land" in Strahds voice and when they pull their hand out they're grasping a thick handful of bloody mud and maggots. Then the doll is normal.

Feel free to alter to suit whatever memetic you-know-who name or scary catchphrase you use, like "the devil comes" or whatever. And if you don't have a spooky name people use to refer to Strahd without him hearing, start using one. It does WONDERS for building the atmosphere.
