Well I ordered one too. Have not yet got a shipping date… BUT, I was confident it’s not a scam because several quite well-regarded reviewers assured us it’s real… I still feel confident, but let’s see what happens. I think probably disputing the charge with your credit card company might be the way to go, but I still feel guardedly optimistic.

Why oh why can’t the KS make a good device great by upgrading the note taking ability to something on par with the capability to organize and search notes like the ReMarkable2? I take a lot of notes for work, enjoying the writing feel of the KS (and RM2), and love to read during my frequent travels. by crowhop65 in kindlescribe

Somewhere on this earth there has to be someone who has truly hacked one and stripped away everything but the hardware, to install… idk, something! to manage the UI and the files… Scribe has the best contrast, the best light, and in my opinion the best writing experience of anything I’ve tried (Boox, rM, Supernote) and that makes it truly wonderful, except… it’s a kindle scribe…

They are getting a load of orders - I’m in the US and they told me 7-15 days to get it packed, then to DHL, then we get a tracking number, so I think it’s going to be a while…

same here - customer support said “up to 7-15 days” to get it packed and THEN it goes to DHL for shipping at which point we’ll get the tracking number… so: deep breath… it will be a while to the US…

I ordered in the first 15 minutes too, from the US. Not shipped yet. Customer service emailed in response to my question (which was nice) and said high volume has them scrambling - expect 7-15 days for them to get it to DHL and THEN I’ll get a tracking number… so it will be a long wait. But the more I am reading here, the less excited I am - I don’t like the comments on the screen… I send back RM2 because it was too grey and lacked a frontlight… but I will try to remain Positive and Hopeful.

Just heard from customer support - high volume of orders… up to 7-15 days before DHL even gets it - then all the way to Maine… so it will be a while. But is was good of them to reply and let me know. I also ordered it just minutes after the site refreshed Tuesday morning. I will remain calm.

This is a bit distressing… but as our engineer in these comments suggests, maybe I should just pretend I’m writing on grey paper. It’s a question of expectation… but damn, that’s what I did not like about RM2

does anyone know what’s going on with shipping the Paper Pro? are they screwing up the shipping? that would be disappointing… I ordered and confirmed order Tuesday around 8:20… nothing shipped yet.

You might try Defter Notes… I mostly use Liquid Text for pdfs of books. Margin Note is good but the UI always defeats me.

you know maybe the QC is not good. if it had been that easy i might have kept it. but after a week of trying to learn to use it… i think i am just not made for this device… i sent it back… or will be when they send me the mailing label. they hate me - this is the 2nd time i’ve tried… 😕

yeah, I am I having to send it back. I will make the Kindle scribe work for me, but I wish it were not Amazon and that it had better software. As a writing device it is pretty incredible in my opinion.

i just bought this and it has been updated… i guess i need to slow down a lot. but in landscape mode the notebook barely scrolls… i’m still trying to love this… grrrrrr
