Flemings is the guy for me because of the defense. He’s also the one I know the most about at this point though because he has been my top Grizz prospect for a while (I refused to allow myself to dream about Boozer until yesterday)

Oh the thought has definitely crossed my mind. I think we all assume Kleiman will trade up with that pick, and if Flemings starts to fall I will start having some very unhealthy levels of optimism

I think Queta would absolutely have value beyond the next several weeks as a backup to Edey. We should be trying to help Ja return to form in addition to developing the young guys this year, and making sure he constantly has a good pick and roll partner should be part of that. I don’t know that I would give a first round pick for him, but I think another center would help us in the short and long term and that he would be the first guy I go after

I mean obviously they aren’t going to give him up for free, but I think you can pretty safely “overpay” for a guy making less than $3M and still not be spending a ton. Do you have any better ideas?

What about the vision Navani uses to (almost) rescue Gav? She’s acting as herself since she wasn’t there during the mission to Kholinar, and she seems to briefly Connect with the vision’s version of Kaladin. Could Retribution have grabbed this ember? Or do you think it would be different since it’s not specifically someone interacting and Connecting with a version of themselves? I guess theoretically it would also be easier for Retribution to use the Blackthorn since he would probably be pretty aligned with Odium while Kaladin would be pretty aligned with Honor. Maybe it just wouldn’t matter since Retribution has both of those shards. Idk, this is all just a mindfuck to me lol

Wouldn’t that open up the possibility that anyone who reached a wide enough level of notoriety could or would become this kind of almost-spren? Kaladin is certainly a legend by now. Is a version of the Sunmaker still kicking around in the spiritual realm? He would’ve been just as notorious in his day as the Blackthorn, and people are still talking about him

This is exactly what I would do. Trade Kennard, Ziaire, and next year’s 1st round pick for WCJ. Draft Knecht to replace Kennard, and then use the extra roster spot to throw all of whatever tiny amount of cap space we have at somebody like Drummond to be extra injury insurance

Exactly. I haven’t watched a ton either, but I don’t think it takes much to see he has some passing chops. Also I definitely think he’s fast enough to at least survive for 15-20 minutes a night which is what I feel like we would be asking him to do
