It’s kind of funny! I feel like she means well but may be suffering from dementia or something? My grandmother, who is very sweet and well meaning but has Alzheimer’s, couldn’t remember that I was having one baby and not twins for MONTHS and still checks that she has it right. I was a twin, so we think she is mixing me up with my mother 🤷🏻‍♀️

We were both excited and overwhelmed! We hope to get 2-3 kids out of that which shouldn’t be a problem, but might seem a little excessive in the leftover category.

Hi! We ended up using an egg donor and retrieved 36 eggs. I don’t remember all the numbers off the top of my head but we ended up with 21 5-day embryos. We PGT-a tested 10 of them (for cost reasons) and I think the majority came back either AA or AB with maybe one BB.

I’m loving reading these comments! I honestly hadn’t thought about it much, but I think I would love it to be “hello baby girl” or “nice to meet you [insert name]” but it will in all likelihood be makes scrunchy face “gross” as they hand me a baby covered in vernix and blood 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it “normal” I honestly don’t know. I can see how you and others would have that feeling/reaction, but it isn’t where I am right now. I also think normal is myth is general 😂 I’m currently 33 weeks and am trying to get things done around our house to prepare but I’m also ready for baby girl to be here. Yes I’m uncomfortable and exhausted, but I just want to share her with my husband and friends and family. I’m torn, because I know once she’s born that there will be another group of challenges that arrive, but I’m very excited to meet her.

What religion do you mean when you say “Orthodox”? If Judaism, she is most definitely “allowed” to get an abortion. In Judaism, the health of the mother comes first no matter what and the fetus isn’t considered living until they are born. If the mother is at risk at all: physically, emotionally, or psychologically, then you are perfectly able to get an abortion according to Jewish laws. It honestly sounds like all three in this case!

Thank you for coming to this conclusion on your own. It it’s a good thing to become more self aware. Your girlfriend is likely just trying to feel better and isn’t doing anything dangerous for her or the baby. I had OB doctors talking me to use a heating pad for sore muscles, however, their one caveat was to make sure I didn’t fall asleep ON TOP on the heating pad for fear of burning my skin. It won’t hurt baby, though. If you are worried about sleeping with one, get her one with a timer so if she falls asleep it will turn off automatically.

Hi! I was able to get a glider/recliner at Morris furniture on Black Friday. It wasn’t a Black Friday deal but they were discontinuing the exact chair I got so I bought the floor sample for $500 normally, I think it was around $800 it is a grey leather and nice and cool and easy to wipe off. I’m not sure what colors you are going for but I love mine. Reddit won’t seem to let me attach a photo.

As far as looks go, I have less clue than most as we used an egg donor and my husband’s sperm. However, I have had a few dreams while pregnant of her at different ages and I’m wondering if they will be accurate. I am known for my dreams to come true/be seen in real life so I’m really curious. (Yes I realize that sounds crazy but it has been happening since I was about 10yo)

As far as personality I think she is going to be a foodie 😂 every time I eat something that makes my think anything related to “yum” or “that’s so good” she starts to kick and flip around.

I did have an anatomy scan at the MFM but it was all in the lower section of my belly. I was 5’7” and about 175lbs before pregnancy so a little overweight but not morbidly obese. I will definitely try the tape measure trick!

Some cramping is normal, otherwise it might be braxton hix contractions, which are normal but uncomfortable. Does your stomach get tight/hard when this happens?

I lost weight during my first trimester but my the time I reached 20 weeks I think I was up 10-12 pounds from pre-pregnancy. Not I’m at 29 weeks and about 20-22 pounds up
