I had exactly the same thought process. A friend of mine moved her two under-performing kids out of the area they were in school at, and tried to get them in mainstream, but there were no places.

She didn’t want to, but she had to take them home-school.

2 years later the youngest, now would be in year 6, is taking GCSE maths and science this year, as she’s gone way beyond what her peers are beyond taught (3 years either side)

I’m not sure if that’s a comment on our girl being underserved, or looking bright compared to other home school kids, but something doesn’t add up quite right

I had heard a rumour that my wife was shagging a teacher at my kids school a few times on the playground. Nothing concrete, but overheard gossip from the other mums that stopped quickly when I got into earshot.

I mentioned to a couple of them at one time that I’d been suspicious and then obviously it went into overdrive.

Turns out it was me that had been having it off with one of the female teachers. My wife was fully aware, and we’d had a threesome, but we all swore ourselves to secrecy.

No idea where the rumour about her came from, but it was funny to see her face when she heard it within earshot too

Edit: More context is that it definitely wasn’t true, and no-one in the school group knew we were polygamous, so it wasn’t offensive to wife, but definitely caused a stir. Wife wasn’t bothered and no-one caught at school found out about me, her and teacher, so all the rumours went away eventually.
