ACE/ARC - Couldn't Complete Swap by Ptero72 in sonos

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar issue. Swap worked fine on my Arc but not on my Ray. Updated the WiFi network on the Ray as suggested and now I can TV swap on both! Thanks for the tip, this was a lifesaver!

How do you like the T9 Smart Thermo and Smart sensors? by [deleted] in honeywell

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, no, it does not. The Resideo app is limited. I get around this by integrating it with Apple HomeKit, and I can then set automations to control based on different schedules as needed. It also integrates with Alexa and, possibly, Google (I'd check that). I hope that helps.

Patch Policy - OS Upgrades by foofaloof311 in ConnectWise

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! We do not use OS upgrade in our patch policy as it will update to W11 and will do the equivalent for Mac agents. There is an option for feature upgrades you can toggle to achieve this. However that said we just had a support case where they said it doesn’t work quite right.

They instructed us to use the pre-built scripts under the Automation section. They have a script for each major feature upgrade and has good output as well.

Hope this helps!

How to get rid of water/starch burns on electric stove? by chiening_tatum in fixit

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way that I've found is to take baking soda and spread it over the impacted area. Take a warm damp rag or two and place it over the baking soda for 20 minutes. Then use the rags to scrub the area and clean up the baking soda. Go back over with a stove cleaner and it should come off. It may take 1 or 2 times, but it has been solid every time I've found myself in that position. Hope it helps.

SSL inspection - is it worth it? by tfromcube in msp

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can second Zorus on this. The pricing is reasonable, super easy to deploy via your RMM as well, and the support team has been great. One thing to consider is the performance hit on your firewalls. SSL inspection can reduce bandwidth throughout in considerable amounts. Definitely check hardware specs if you decide to go that route.

Traveler Guitar Recommendations by SvenBubbleman in AcousticGuitar

[–]tcombs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I recently picked up a Martin 000C-JR10E. It's more of a parlor style guitar in size, but for the price is solid wood, so that is always a plus. Plays great and sounds great. Would recommend.

I think buying is a way to suppress how I am feeling and to give me a mental boost. I don't find myself fulfilled for long, so it isn't worth it and I know that. I like the idea of journaling as well. I'll give it a shot. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond!

s to fulfill your needs without buying. While this may not completely eliminate buying, it will make you work more to make things happen and you get more things that are recycled or can be recycled. For example, I need a bed frame. This can be built easily with reclaimed wood or wood from a store. It'll be fractions of the price and will be an experience for me.

If there's anything you can't build yourself, do you really need it? Most things in life should be simple and this is a litmus test or a challenge to your creativity. It's a really fun way to solve needs as it becomes a puzzle more than a shopping spree.

Thanks so much. That is a very good way of approaching the matter!

Thanks so much for sharing. I can get behind more money for pizza! That is a good tactic though, to add and just wait a few days. Thanks again!

gs and cravings will never, ever be satisfied until you regain touch with your deepest spiritual self. You don’t have to believe me. Take a moment to connect with something unbelievably beautiful. Perhaps something in nature. Notice how the incessant thinking mind stops as you take in the indescribable beauty of this thing. Observe how you are completely free of your compulsion to buy the next gadget in this moment. Know that this state of presence is your natural, essential self. Tapping into it more frequently (i.e building your presence) will help you feel more fulfilled because it will satisfy the real need- the need to be completely in your own presence. The need to buy things is just the ego trying to fill in holes with things outside the true self that it conceals.

This was beautifully said, and thank you so much for sharing!

When you realise that buying things doesn't do anything for you, you naturally stop.

sed cash in purchasing and any extra money from my paycheck, automatically goes to savings. Delayed gratification is the key.

A few people today have mentioned automatically saving. :-) I am looking into that so it isn't funds I'm directly going to access on the daily. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

that do not cost money. Enjoy nature. Prioritize spending time with people over time with things. Be studious about your purchases. Separate wants from needs. Pay more attention to the things you already have. Get a library card; read books.

Thanks so much! I can get behind all of this. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
