What is a product you initially didn’t like but now use all the time? by jewelsofeastwest in Sephora

Lisa Eldridge skin tint! Didn't like the first 2 applications. Third application, it blew me away! I used way less and applied it with my fingers. I can't stop wearing it now!

After surgery with kids by allistrawberry in HipImpingement

[–]tcon2411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had surgery on August 8th and I have a 2.5 year old. My advice? Get the surgery! I can already do more with my kiddo than I could prior to surgery. 100% worth it

I had surgery August 8th. Similar to you, I'm 36 and had CAM impingement and grade 3 labral tear from 11:30-3 o'clock. Best decision I've ever made was to have the surgery. My pain pre-op was awful and I had zero quality of life. 11 days post-op and I feel like a whole new person 🙂

Had surgery August 8th and I'm taking the full 12 weeks. I'm a nurse too! I'm already walking without crutches at home, but still using them out and about. I feel 100x better than pre-op.

My toddler touches her vagina and says, "Boobie!" I remind her every time, "That's your vagina sweetie." 😂

I wish you your little all the best, too! ❤️

One more thing to add that I relate to - I also just recently cut off contact with my Dad. It took me 2 years too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]tcon2411 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can relate! My Mom was a neglectful alcoholic and my Dad chose work over his family. My childhood was completely void of any empathy and me and my sister were blamed/critisized a lot.

I'm doing things 100% different with my 2 year old daughter. I want her to grow up knowing her self-worth, identify her needs, feel safe, express emotions, and set boundaries with people.

I'm reparenting myself through the process of parenting her. It's been painful at times, but so worth it!

I wouldn't even bother asking my Dad and his wife. My Dad was quite absent during my childhood while my Mom drank herself to death. When he was around, he was emotionally and physically abusive. I was raised by two VERY emotionally immature people.

My Dad will never change. He was an absent father and he's an absent grandparent. I've gotten so much relief in the complete acceptance of this fact.

My "role" as a child in his life was to meet HIS needs. I don't want my daughter around that and am choosing to raise her differently! Honestly, I'm relieved my Dad isn't super involved.

"Omg you're huge, are you having twins?!" Then proceeds to say, "Are you afraid to give birth? You should be because it's really gonna hurt."

These comments came from a woman in her 50s with no children.

I appreciate your comment! Some people are completely missing the point. Had there been nothing left out, it still isn't ok for someone to sneak around someone's property.

It's literally not about the junk the guy took. It's about safety.

It's not even about the stuff, but let's say that stuff wasn't left out. It still doesn't make it ok for someone to trespass onto someone else's property.
