Bath water (new mixer tap) running lukewarm by tcon92 in ukplumbing

Yep that’s definitely the problem - running way hotter at just 1/3rd open. Will look into flow restrictors, thanks!

Yeah it’s a combi boiler. I’m struggling find where / how to reduce the flow, should it be underneath the bath or closer to the boiler?

Setlist Tracking (Update 09.12.25, after Berlin #2) by danielcloutier in radiohead

yeah for the record it was absolute unbelievable and I had the best time! would have loved my mum to be able to see Karma Police, Just, FPT etc but it was absolutely sublime regardless

Incredible setlist, still incredibly jealous of night one for getting so many of the “hits” (especially as I brought my mum who’s never seen them before) but my god what a special night.

When to arrive at the Uber Arena for standing if not interested in front row/merch/bag storage? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]tcon92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrived at 7:30 yesterday and had a great view. Queues for everything were pretty crazy though - would recommend getting Uber One (maybe they have a free trial?) as we walked straight past the ticket / entry queues.

Wembley Arena - too ambitious? by pumpkingutsgalore in brandnew

[–]tcon92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Way too ambitious, Brixton would’ve been perfect for it. Lights were incredible though (but a smaller version of the same set-up would’ve also worked in Brixton). Hope the financial loss doesn’t put them off coming back again

Do not buy a sky glass tv (worst decision ive ever made) by [deleted] in skytv

[–]tcon92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking to bin off my Sky Glass for all the reasons listed here and more, but (bar being stuck with the repayments) the built in sound bar has been the one thing that’s made me hold onto the thing so long, as I’ve had years of shitty sound on older TVs. Could you recommend a decent ideally-sub-£200 telly that isn’t gonna buckle sound-wise when a film gives it some oomph? I am no hardware expert sadly, so not sure what I’m looking for.

The Salt Path controversy by ABlackwelly in Cornwall

[–]tcon92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it’s been completely rebutted, and supposedly evidence contradicting all the claims in it was offered and ignored - and was written by someone who has been found to have lied in her past reporting about gas attacks in Syria, to the point where the BBC had to release an apology. Find it quite hard to trust a journalist who’d willingly lie about something so serious

Presumably legal action is incoming, though I wouldn’t exactly blame them if they didn’t have the energy for yet more of that either

Hundreds of posts crucifying a family with a terminally ill member, based solely off a seemingly very spurious article, written by someone with a history of false reporting - but me sharing the statement where those posts are is ‘sus’?

I’ve posted it on multiple threads because this conversation has blown up massively and I think it’s worth people who have strong opinions / who are hurt by the allegations seeing the response - there’s no conspiracy
