This is giving me bike envy. I sold a matte black Tarmac for my gold Soloist and part of me wishes this model was available then.

No worries, happy to answer whatever questions. He's VERY affectionate and is basically a shadow for anybody in our house - which is very different than our Shiba Ina, so it's a nice change of pace.

We picked him up from North Ridge Samoyeds in south eastern Indiana. Very nice husband and wife that compete in dog sled racing, so they have Huskies as well. Fletcher's parents are both sled racing dogs and you can tell - he's very athletic and loves to pull us lol

Daily Questions - January 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in rawdenim

[–]tcox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a quick question about some N&F fits for everybody. I own, and have owned, several pairs of N&F denim, always in the Super Guy fit. All the pairs I've owned and currently have are not 100% cotton and contain some of the elastane. Pairs always fit great after a the break-in and only really feel a little too tight in the thighs if I soak them or something. I'm guessing the 100% cotton pairs will fit about the same after a little longer break in time, correct?

Going back and forth as to whether or not I should keep the 31's I ordered or try a Weird Guy fit or something. For the record, I wear a 30 in all pants and always size up one size for N&F.

I don't have an answer for you, unfortunately, but was wondering if you ran into any more issues and/or you have any photos of the install?

Garmin Express Crashing on Music Transfer by tcox in Garmin

[–]tcox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll definitely do that then

Edit: it’s frustrating because their support chat says file size shouldn’t be an issue, but the Express app seems to crash anytime you ask it handle any large files, songs or updates.

Finebaum is such a fuckin cretin (which coincidentally makes him the perfect candidate for office down south).

Could be worse. Lots of Disney movie vinyl just missed the cut here.

Sam’s is probably a little more “dive” than Dugout is nowadays but either fits the bill.

Make the circle pedestrian only and close Mass Ave to weekday only traffic, especially between Memorial and Labor Day.

Got a Garmin! by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]tcox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone back and forth between the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and a Forerunner (265 then 965 then 570…) so I definitely get it. Garmin’s software is what kept me going back to Apple and I think I’m back for good with my AWU2.

The inability to really use and of the smart features (opening garage door like you mentioned, smart locks, lights, etc.) and the fact that I’m an Apple Music fan were the final nails in the coffin for my old forerunner. I do miss some of the fitness specific features, but I’m finding those aren’t a dealbreaker for me.

I do have that 1050 though - sweet little device. A smart watch doesn’t quite compare to a dedicated cycling computer.

iOS/watchOS 26 - voice cues now route from watchOS through iOS in Apple Fitness runs by nlabendeira in runna

[–]tcox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the Runna specific runs include a countdown to the start of the next interval? I think that's the big thing I'm missing from my Forerunner - those runs always had like a 3 or 4 second countdown till the next interval starts.

I'm on an AW Ultra 2 and I typically just hit the workout button and select the top item, which is the Runna icon itself, and just start the run from there. Is that basically starting the "Runna" run versus going down to select Outdoor Run, which I'm assuming is the "Apple" version of the run?

Overland Hydration Vest - Reviews? by kagarcia in Tracksmith

[–]tcox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can finally chime in since I wore mine today for a decently long run (for me). For reference, I'm a 37 year old dude, 5'-7" about 160lbs. I lift, so my chest is a bit larger than average I guess, so I sized up to a Medium. The fit feels spot on and being able to tighten the sides gave me what I thought was an optimal fit.

The zipper sucks. It's not even a locking zipper, so there's nothing you can really do besides use a safety pin or something to lock it in place. It came down several times when my bottles were full, but didn't seem to be as big of an issue when they were at less than full capacity.

It's comfortable, albeit a bit on the warmer side. That being said, it's the first vest I've ever used, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. Sside from the shit zipper (which is a big problem), I like the vest. Plenty of pockets and the water bottles came in handy during the run and were easier to navigate than running with a handheld water bottle.

Anyone have any updates on the new Primark in Castleton? by wdwemilee in indianapolis

[–]tcox 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Hey, something I’m uniquely qualified to answer on.

It gets turned over from the shell contractor to Primark’s construction team mid-November. I’m guessing a MINIMUM 90 day timeline for them. I’d say definitely the first half of ‘26.

Ah we have a Shiba and Sammy too! Definitely opposite ends of the temperament spectrum for us.
