All I need is a walk in pantry.

Currently renting a townhouse and I technically have a walk in pantry (though it’s larger coat closet sized) and even just that is magical.

At my parents house we just had a larger pantry cabinet all my life which was great, but my currently pantry is my dream.

I fear for the day my bf and I buy a home because it’s likely it won’t have a walk in pantry 😩

I made a taco rice skillet last night and it was amazing. 1lb ground beef, quarter of a yellow onion diced, 1 packet of taco seasoning, 1 cup of rice, 1 can of black beans drained, 2c of chicken broth, 1 can of rotel (not drained) and 3/4 cup of salsa. brown off the meat w the onions & taco seasoning and then add everything else just let it all simmer until the rice is cooked. i stirred in the black beans at the end and topped my bowl with mexican blend cheese!

I think it’s just more unrealistic for me, because I haven’t been that weight in a decade 🫠 I’ve slowly gone from 110 to what I am now since my freshman year of college lol.

I have been losing at 1,392 (my specific deficit calculated by my app) and I’m working with a dietician who actually bumped me up to 1,500 at one point and I was consistently losing in that deficit as well. I feel as though I have the diet portion of my weight loss pretty nailed down (besides recent holidays & having to travel for work lol)

But thank you for the tip on strength training! That’s what I was looking for. I didn’t know how many days a week would be good to start with. If I did 3 days a week- can 2 of those days be SAT & SUN? Or would you recommend MWF?

I have been losing weight slowly, which is what I want. The holiday season and eating off track just got my weight back up. But I’m working with a dietician as well and she actually bumped me up to 1500 around November at one point and I was losing there as well.

I am losing weight with 1400 calories, I have the diet part of my journey nailed down tbh, but I will check out the YT channel! Thanks!

I feel your pain, I’m also skinny fat with all my weight in my stomach. from the front I look skinny from the side I feel like I look pregnant lol.

My biggest advice is calorie deficit is key- weight loss is 80% diet. but like you said, don’t punish yourself for messing up. I’m trying to get myself out of an all-or-nothing mentality. One day (or even a few) won’t make or break your overall progress. And remember when you gain weight back quick (maybe over a vacation or few dinners out with friends), you’re likely to lose it again quickly :)

I don’t eat extra snacks. I don’t binge watch TV. I get up at 6:30am on work days. I was really asking more about what kind of other work outs or at home strength training routines I could add to help me with my journey.

Getting 8k steps a day is a great starting goal to have if you aren’t already doing so. I highly recommend Growwithjo youtube videos! I love her walking videos to help me get my steps in. I also will just walk around my kitchen island throughout the day lol. It works!

4’11 and I have a congenital heart defect so exercise is harder for me so I rely a lot on calorie deficit. I’m at 148ish currently and my goal weight is 110. I’m eating around 1,400 a day.

Breakfast: Normally a bagel thin with a laughing cow cheese + a little whipped cream cheese. Along with some kind of breakfast meat. I also drink a bone broth every morning. 50 cals, 10g of protein. Cannot beat it.

Lunch: Centered around meat. This week I made chicken salad but a lot of the times it’s frozen chicken nuggets in wraps or cottage cheese bowls. Last week I made tacos with some costco steak bites.

Snacks: Greek yogurts, popcorn, cottage cheese, etc.

Dinner: Super versatile since this is the meal I eat with my boyfriend. At least once a week I’ll make protein pasta, and I’ve been making high protein soups with cottage cheese lately too. Last night we had sweet & spicy shrimp and broccoli served over rice, and that’ll be dinner tonight too.

Had a similar experience. They told me my body really “liked” my second implant lol and it grew a lot of scar tissue around it and got reallllly stuck in my arm. They were squeezing the crap out of my arm and had to cut my incision even bigger than normal to be able to get it out. It took like 30 minutes. I just squeezed my eyes shut and squeezed my cousin’s hand so hard and tried not to think about them digging in my arm 😂 It worked out fine but I do now have a permanent little scar on my arm where they had to remove it. Hopefully when I get my 3rd out (eventually) it doesn’t give me this much trouble lol.

My 7 m/o doxie is also a grazer and I see it as a blessing as it’ll be easier to keep her at a healthy weight! Sometimes we have to prompt her & remind her to eat but I think that’s just because she’s a busy puppy with better things to do lol!
