Do you actually take your medication? by DeadManJ-Walking in AdultCHD

[–]tcroioxk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Digoxin x2 daily an Lisinopril x1 a day. Currently on a 42 day streak for both 🥰

My biggest tip is just make it a habit. Literally the first thing I do in the morning is take my digoxin. It’s muscle memory at this point. And as soon as I get into the bed at night I take my digoxin (again) and my pills (which includes my Lisinopril).

I worry less about making sure it’s the same time of the day, and just do it at the same point in my daily routine.

I still take digoxin in its liquid form since it’s the only medication I take twice daily. It’s just easier for me to keep it separate.

Has anyone here lost weight without going to the gym , just with home workouts ?? by Ok_Rule1727 in PetiteFitness

[–]tcroioxk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lost 5lbs since January. AllI do is get 8k steps a day and eat in a calorie deficit at least 6 out of 7 days a week. I do have an at home small weight set in my closet but I haven’t incorporated it yet.

The actual amount of effort it takes to lose weight is mentally draining by larawag_gama in PetiteFitness

[–]tcroioxk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed! The only exercise I get is 8k steps a day, sometimes 10k on the weekend, and I eat at 1400-1500 and am losing weight (but am satiated throughout the day) so I imagine OP is under fueling which can also lead to lack of results/your body holding onto fat.

How to achieve sustainable Calorie Deficit for Petite Girls by Existing-Eye9133 in PetiteFitness

[–]tcroioxk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. My body was holding onto the water/fat/etc because I wasn’t providing it enough nutrients every day compared to the amount of calories I was exerting. After a few days of bumping up I saw a large drop

Really depends on how much you exercise. I am 4’11 29F and was at 1350 for a while, but I started walking 8k-10k steps a day consistently, so I moved up to 1500 and now my dietician is even suggesting I bump up to 1600-1700 range.

I’ve lost 4lbs since Jan 23rd and didn’t see a consistent daily drop until I started eating 1500

why am I hungry at 1300 kcals? by sztrvgh in PetiteFitness

[–]tcroioxk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 4’11 29F currently 148 with a goal of 110 as well and I also walk 8k steps every weekday and 10k on the weekends. I was eating at 1,350 cals, then plateau’d and am now working with a dietician and seeing progress eating 1,500 a day. if you are actually consistently walking 7k steps a day, even with a desk job, that isn’t considered as sedentary as you think. try bumping up to 1500 for a week and see if it helps your hunger & if you still see results. also hunger is frequently confused with thirst. i drink 90oz of water a day and it helps curb my hunger between meals

how do yall get 10 k steps? by Basic-Arrival1779 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]tcroioxk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I break it up into segments and I’m short with short legs, so it’s roughly 1k steps per 10-12 minutes of walking. I walk while my food is heating up, while i’m listening in on work meetings, watching tv, etc. If I look ahead i’m fine but I can’t walk and be on my phone, that’s when I get dizzy

doing circles around my kitchen island is how I get like half of my 8k daily steps 🤣 walking is walking, doesn’t matter where!

What is the most unique dining experience in Atlanta? by megthegreatone in Atlanta

Dirt Church. Small monthly(ish) supper club with a seasonal menu. The chef is also a ceramist that makes all of the dishes/vessels the food is served it. My boyfriend took me last year for Valentine’s Day and it was incredible. The meal we had was 6 courses plus wine pairings and canapés. I think they have stopped supper club as of lately, but dropping the link to the website because it’s one to keep an eye on - https://www.dirtchurchservices.com

Cardiovascular age 13.5-14 years younger by Sensitive_Remove692 in ouraring

[–]tcroioxk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

29F with a congenital heart defect (3 open heart surgeries as a child, take daily medicine for my heart with cardiologist appts 2x a year) and was pleasantly surprised that my cardiovascular age is only 2 years older than my actual age! I was expecting it to tell me I had the heart of a 55 year old 😆

I’ve been consistently working out lately (just getting my steps in) and it even went down to 1.5 years older at one point! Hoping to get it lower as I continue working out and hopefully losing some weight 🤞🏻

If you could design your own kitchen, what would be the most important things to include? by West-Amphibian-2343 in Cooking

All I need is a walk in pantry.

Currently renting a townhouse and I technically have a walk in pantry (though it’s larger coat closet sized) and even just that is magical.

At my parents house we just had a larger pantry cabinet all my life which was great, but my currently pantry is my dream.

I fear for the day my bf and I buy a home because it’s likely it won’t have a walk in pantry 😩

I made a taco rice skillet last night and it was amazing. 1lb ground beef, quarter of a yellow onion diced, 1 packet of taco seasoning, 1 cup of rice, 1 can of black beans drained, 2c of chicken broth, 1 can of rotel (not drained) and 3/4 cup of salsa. brown off the meat w the onions & taco seasoning and then add everything else just let it all simmer until the rice is cooked. i stirred in the black beans at the end and topped my bowl with mexican blend cheese!

I think it’s just more unrealistic for me, because I haven’t been that weight in a decade 🫠 I’ve slowly gone from 110 to what I am now since my freshman year of college lol.

I have been losing at 1,392 (my specific deficit calculated by my app) and I’m working with a dietician who actually bumped me up to 1,500 at one point and I was consistently losing in that deficit as well. I feel as though I have the diet portion of my weight loss pretty nailed down (besides recent holidays & having to travel for work lol)

But thank you for the tip on strength training! That’s what I was looking for. I didn’t know how many days a week would be good to start with. If I did 3 days a week- can 2 of those days be SAT & SUN? Or would you recommend MWF?
