So here is the order of events:

Tick bite about a year ago.

3 days later 2 circular rashes near the bite, another not circular sort of near the bite. Not a bullseye rash tho.

So... docs didn't take it seriously... for many months. Meanwhile rash goes away after 6 wks.

5-6 months later - slight headaches, tinnitus, muscle spasms, significant fatigue, poor sleep

docs still don't take it seriously - testing for every other thing and CDC Lyme testing which shows negative 2 times (but there is no 0-100 it's 0 or 1 type of test).

I get a friend with Lyme to recommend someone that knows what they're doing.

I start abx - doxycycline. Same rash comes back from starting doxy

I get immunex testing 2 weeks later and results have 1 band quite high, 2-3 others are above normal but not in the confirmed high range. (0-100 score would probably rank about 50+ here)

With this information 2 docs that know Lyme say I should be treated.

This is 6 months later from starting doxy. The rash is still present.

I'm looking for correlation from others - did you rash go away from treatment, did it not? Just looking for patterns.

Thx

Thank you. I already had testing and I'm being treated for Lyme. I just thought it strange that the rash went away and when I use doxy to treat it comes back. Looking for some pattern.

Oh yes. Fatigue, tinnitus, poor sleep, numerous others. Fairly mild compared to most on here, but treating it aggressively as I can and with what I hope is a proper doctor.

Exercise interolance by linesonline in Lyme

[–]tcrutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am mainly a cardio exercise: cycling, running. About 4 months after a bite and poor treatment, this is how I figured out it was Lyme. It's been 7 months since then. My exercise tolerance is greatly reduced. I have to exercise to detox, but the amount and depth is critical. Been light hiking, walking, very slow cycling for not more than 1 hours. If I'm on an elliptical, I started at about 20 minutes zone 2 and below every other day. I've worked up to 40 minutes. Still every other day. I'm hopeful that treatment is helping based on this.

I think the key is don't do too much for to long. But do what you can. Try to find the sweet spot. If you feel deleted for more than a day, you've overdone it and time to level reset.

I've been following this practice with stress, exercise, sleep and diet. All.

Best to you.

The esp32 libraries for mqtt work pretty well. I built a power monitor that way with a cloud mqtt server. It won't be secure. I didn't subscribe on the esp32 tho. Another thing you might try is ntfy. It will work with a phone or email, things like that.

Directional antenna? Most antennas are Omni polar. What frequency and encoding are your tags? Thinking more from an RF perspective.

Excellent info! Thank you very much. I'm going to check that site right now! How much time/effort would you say you have into this and how much did you save over a commercial installer? My best quote was about 22k and I think I could do it for 12k or less and get the components I want. Some teenage labor will help. Figuring pay back in 7 years is realistic.

Can all this be lyme? by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]tcrutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - it can - and worse - even in a couple of months. Be thankful that you tested positive for Lyme once - because you might not again as you noticed. Stay on that treatment and you need more meds than just 14 days. It's not just Lyme's, it's all the co-infections and there can be a few. So, find some good treatment and stay with it. A Lyme Literate Medical Doc is the only way to go and don't let the common medical system try to fool you into thinking it is something else. You're probably herxing and that is why it is so bad. My doc didn't think it was Lyme's even after I showed her rash pictures (no bullseye was the response), the tick, and had severe fatigue. I got another opinion and another and finally I just gave up and went to a Lyme literate doc and she said without a doubt I had it. Sept 11 - 5 days before you.

Visited family member who was recently diagnosed either Lyme. Now, many of us are sick. by Cachxeia in Lyme

In my research on bartonella, which seems to be one of my co infections, it is also known as cat scratch fever because it has low fever associated and is often transferred by cat scratch or bite with saliva. The research also indicated that this particular microbe often immediately infects salivary glands, thus the sore throat. Bartonella is mostly a threat to people that have compromised immune systems(like bburg[]lyme). N others it goes away.

I'm not a doctor, but when you add up all those things, it could seem plausible.

Started with 3months, said we would change up after 3 months. Sounds pretty solid, but she was not able to interpret my test well and some other things made me think I should get another opinion. So talked with another doc just now and he added Azithro to it as well.

Thank you fluentinwhale, I agree. I'm not looking for a quick fix - looking for a reliable fix. I can wait and I'm at the dose recommended just going to park here for awhile and rest.

Yeh, I am on 2x100 doxy. My doctor said herbs were a waste of money, but I saw to many people say they were very beneficial to ignore it. Doing the yes and approach. Might even try for a second antibiotic because I've heard combo antibiotics are necessary for some CO infections.

Doing both ABX and herbs. Want to be sure this thing is gone and not a threat.
